Malibu Guest house/ near beach

The space Little, mid century, ranch style, private guest house, on Point Dume Headlands. We are surrounded by Big & Little Dume coves, Westward & Zuma Beaches, in center of the peninsula. Beach access is down headlands. Malibu is 21 miles long and 4 mi. wide into the mountains. Cottage has one bedroom, kitchen, bathroom, living room,w/ large tv and wifi. Picture window looks back to mountains, & down to our lovely tennis court. Bring your own or borrow rackets to play. A lovely private tennis-and-beach getaway with lots of open land, set in Malibu's beloved Point Dume neighborhood. The clean, detached space has a homey feel, smart swing-out windows for fresh Malibu sea air, and the rooms have wi-fi, a desk area, (great for writers), entertainment system, breakfast table,and a full kitchen. We have cultural touches inside the guest-house like the Beatles Anthology, complete cartoons of The New Yorker, a "Far Side" comics collection, new and vintage books. Little Dume beach is a gem for surfers and general beachgoers alike, and ocean-lovers are also close to Zuma, El Matadar, County Line, etc. Also recommend exploring the back end of Mulholland highway, a serenely pastoral region that leads to wineries and displays the old, untouched Malibu, just like the tide pools and sea caves at Leo Carillo beach, or some of the secret hiking paths. The property is near (and walkable to) quite a bit, including Sunlife Organics for great juices and smoothies, our wonderful Lily's, which has the best breakfast burritos-according to LA Magazine, as well as D'Amores for pizza and Duck Dive pub for food and weekend music .Also many new places to eat. Many beach locations from classic and not so classic movies are all around for the film buff. NYTimes article '36 hrs in the 'bu' is our area. One block away, grocery, coffee shop,and restaurants. Walk the beach,bike, hike the mountain or have a game of tennis. Our area is an eclectic,super safe, residential area, full of nature loving, the sports minded and families, as well as our many celebrities. Guest access Extensive private parking inside our gate. There is a private patio for guests and a lovely new gazebo. We have a beautiful private tennis court available for guests in the back yard. Distance to each beach under Neighborhood.
