Small Cabin located on 10 acres with spectacular views! Wake up and look out over the Ouachita mountains! Step out onto the large deck and enjoy a hot cup of coffee and nature! The loft is carpeted and has a Queen mattress. We have a full (tiny-home) kitchen with pots and pans or a grill if you choose to cook. Cute Bathroom with large shower. Blow dryer in cabinet. No cable (unplug and enjoy nature!) But we do have a DVD player and we usually watch TV using our lightning cord on our iPhones! Entire home The entire cabin, deck, and the 10 acres surrounding the cabin. I like to give them space but easily available through phone calls and messages. The Cabin is 12 miles from Echo Canyon with launch on Lake Ouachita. And 11 miles from Hill Wheatley public park with beach and free boat launch on Lake Hamilton. And about 13 miles from Blakely Dam, picnic tables and walk-in access to both Lake Hamilton and Lake Ouachita. We are 14 miles from Oaklawn Racing & Casino. We are also located on the same road as the Wedding Barn in Royal, Arkansas! Some nights if you are on the back of the property, you may be able to hear the faint sounds or the reception. It has never been enough noise to be obnoxious, kind of soft music. We don’t have a paved driveway, just follow the path in. You can park anywhere, just be cautious of the large boulders that are around the cabin. If you go downtown. It’s best to leave the cabin and take a left on Oakgrove and a right on to Albert Pike/270. You can stay on that road all the way into town (that goes through town) or you can get onto the bypass (270-Martin Luther King Expressway) and exit onto Higdon Ferry Rd and take a Left towards Sam’s club and the hospital. That road comes out by Oaklawn Racing and Gaming. Take a left onto Central avenue and you will go right downtown. You can also go to the West and visit Mountain Harbor for a good meal or Shangri-La. you can also go west on Airport Road/70W and eat at Rocky Mountain Grill. UPDATE: A new water heater and filtration system was installed 1/19/2023 so there is NO more issue with the sulfur smell! ! The check-in time can be more flexible if given ample time for planning. There is propane for the grill and there should be a spatula and tongs inside the cabin. The grill is infrared so you can use the brush hanging by the grill to clean it once you are done. We use a jet pack booster for internet. There are a number of cell towers in the area, with one 1 1/2 miles northwest pointing directly towards the cabin. Verizon guarantees 5-12 mgb per second but typically much faster, especially with the close proximity of the towers. If you would like to walk down to the creek, you can follow the trail down to the gate. You can walk outside of the gate and reach the creek that’s just downhill. We had to install a gate to prevent people from trespassing/mudding. There have been some wildlife spotted at the creek at nighttime..there has never been a problem but just a heads up. PlEASE NOTE- Rifle season runs from 11/13-12/19. During this time, please don’t go down to the creek or in the woods beyond the creek. We’ve never had issues before, but safety is of upmost importance.
