Secluded beach-front villas - 10 North by the Sea

Our villa on the beach is in a unique location. Calm, tranquil and very scenic with the sea in front, just steps away, and the backwaters bordering the other end of our property on a tropical island. Our villa has all modern comforts. Air-conditioning in both bedrooms and ceiling fans in all rooms. Free wi-fi. Inverter power back-up. Fully functional kitchen. Enjoy stunning sunset views from the terrace or relax on the verandah when you're not enjoying the sea. The space Our secluded beachfront villa is perfect for relaxing and cutting off from routine busy lifestyles. Most of the time, the only sound we hear is the rhythmic hush of waves on the beach outside, birdsongs and the rustle of palm leaves in the breeze. The villa is a single-storey home with an open-to-the-sky rooftop terrace and is so close to the sea that you step on to powdery white sand just outside our gate. On entering the villa property, the breezy verandah with wood pillars and traditional terracotta-tiled roof immediately becomes the place where everyone loves to sit or gather. It is also everyone's favourite space to dine al fresco. The wide windows in the living room open up the villa even more and let in an abundance of light and breeze. We love how it transforms the space! Lanterns on the verandah at night set such a lovely romantic ambience. The villa has 2 comfortable bedrooms, each with attached modern bathrooms with the latest fittings. Both bedrooms are air-conditioned and all have fans. But, the rooms are usually so cooled by sea-breezes that they often do not require anything more than open windows and the fan. The kitchen is fully functional and is equipped with a fridge, microwave, induction cook-top, gas-stove and cookware. If you prefer to take a break from cooking, you can order in from the local restaurants. Or, one of the local cooks can come in and cook for you for a fee charged by them. (We only facilitate this service of putting you in touch with them, we are not involved in any other way). The utility room houses the washing-machine and an inverter for power back-up. The best place in the villa, according to several of our guests, is the rooftop terrace. Sitting on the traditional built-in seat running all along the front, you get the feeling that you are directly over the sea. In our opinion, it is also the best place to meditate or for some yoga in the morning. And to bring in the evening with the first stars of the night. Incomparable for a star-lit dinner! If you prefer, free wi-fi means that you can be accessible whenever you wish. The other end of the property (which includes more villas where your hosts stay) borders a quaint network of waterways and backwaters. You are welcome to enjoy this space too. You must be aware of some things about our villa before you book: 1. Yes, there are stairs at the back leading to the terrace. If you have children, you may like to know that there is a door which you can lock to keep them away from the terrace except under your supervision (We advise supervision of children on the terrace at all times). 2. The road through the village is meant for small vehicles and 2-wheelers. While this is perfect for maintaining the peace & quiet of the area, large vehicles can not drive right up to our gate. Instead, we will arrange for pick-up and drop to the end of the village road so you can access your vehicle. Or you may enjoy the short walk through the village, as most of us do. This also gives you a chance to interact with our very friendly neighbours and learning more about them and the area. 3. While the powdery white sand of the beach starts right at our gate, the older and not-so-nimble guests may prefer the neighbouring beach (a short 3-minute walk away) with its low sea-wall. 4. There are restaurants nearby that will deliver if you do not wish to make use of the kitchen in the villa. 5. The Utility room next to the kitchen houses the washing machine and inverter for power back-up. Please keep the door locked if there are children with you and exercise caution around the inverter. 6. We are constantly improving on the house for your comfort, and though we try our best to immediately update pictures of the improved features in our gallery here, please excuse us if we haven't done so yet when you view Guest access You will have complete access to every part of the beachfront villa. This is inclusive of 2 well-furnished bedrooms with air-conditioning, both with attached bathrooms. Also, a fully functional kitchen, a utility room, and a living room with windows that open out to the verandah where you can enjoy a cup of tea while listening to the sound of waves crashing on the beach. The dining space looks out to a courtyard garden. You will also have complete access to the rooftop terrace that provides you with a panoramic view of the sea and some of the most spectacular sunsets. Other things to note Booking from December 1st - March 31st : minimum 3 nights Booking from April 1st - November 30th : minimum 7 nights Please note that we do not allow any events or parties to be held on the premises without our permission. Please note that access to the beach in front of the house is dependent on the tides and water levels. At times when the water level is high, the neighbouring beach which is about 2-3 minutes walk away is a better option.
