The white interior gives a modern and clean finish. The vineyard provides a beautiful backdrop to your stay with neat rows of vines a few steps away from your raised sun deck. Enjoy a glass of wine on the deck as you watch the sun go down over the vineyard. Active break lovers will enjoy cycling around the Vale of Belvoir, direct access to local footpaths & Stanton-on-the-Wolds golf course. Other things to note Unique Rural Experiences With the countryside on our doorstep we have lots of unique and local experiences for you to get involved in when you stay at Wolds Wine Estate: - Ruddington Village Market: The first Saturday of the month sees Ruddington host a fantastic village market with artisan products, food and drink. - Wysall Flower Farm: A lovely family run farm where you can pick you own flowers or take part in Floristry And Growing Workshops. - Harker’s Farm Shop at Clipston: Established in 1954 the shop is situated on working farm offering breath-taking views, a play park and animals to admire. - Lakeside Clay Shoots & Fishing: Participate in some countryside pursuits and bring back a fish for supper. Local Attractions - Belvoir Castle and The Engine Yard: Spend a day exploring the castle and then enjoy artisan shopping, pampering, eating and drinking in the heart of the stunning Vale of Belvoir. A wonderful experience. - Wollaton Park and Hall: A stunning Grade I listed Elizabethan mansion set in 500 acres of natural parkland with wild deers, play park and museum. It was also used as Wayne Manor in The Dark Knight Rises! - Holme Pierrepont Country Park: Home of the National Water Sports Centre there is something for everyone from White Water rafting to Sky Tykes for the little ones. Ready for an adventure? - Robin Hood: Explore the legend of Robin Hood with trips to Sherwood Forest and Nottingham Castle. For the Kids (big and small) We hope your kids will enjoy being in the outdoors and exploring the 11 acre site. Feel free to bring a football or rounders kit. But here are a few suggestions if they want to spread their wings a little more: - Horse Riding: Riding lessons at the local stables and special school holiday activities. - Twin Lakes: 100 acres of family theme park, farm and water park - Spring Lakes: Enjoy the thrills and spills of an incredible Aqua Park, wakeboard on a Rixen full 5 corner cable or enjoy the family beach resort. - National Space Centre: An out-of-this-world family experience! - Green’s Windmill & Science Centre: A restored and working 19th century tower windmill with a small science centre. Be sure to buy their award winning flour. - Manor Farm: Set amongst over 25 acres of rolling Wolds countryside, Manor Farm Park & Woodlands is an all-day adventure for all the family. - White Post Farm: Feed and pet the cute animals…and the scary ones too if you are brave enough! - Holme Pierrepont Country Park: Home of the National Water Sports Centre there is something for everyone from White Water rafting to Sky Tykes for the little ones. We are well served by the bus and taxi for you to enjoy the nightlife. Here are some of the local towns to explore: - Keyworth: Our local town. Supermarkets, pubs, shops, massages and takeaways all on our doorstep. - Ruddington: A superb little town with a country park, bars, museums and a fantastic market once a month. - West Bridgford: Home of Nottingham Forest and Trent Bridge Cricket Ground, visit West Bridgford for sports & trendy bars. - Nottingham: Our legendary city centre known for it’s nightlife and shopping. Catch a show at one of our theatres and stay in town for fantastic bars and restaurants. - Melton Mowbray: Bidding to be England’s Rural Capital of Food and famous for it’s Pork Pies and Stilton Cheese.
