Description

The bedroom offers a king size tempurpedic mattress. Plush sheets, pillows and covers. Shared bath & use of the front porch and courtyard with owner. The front of the house is a hair salon. So noise is inevitable from 10am to 6pm Tuesday thru Saturday. After hours is very quiet. GREAT LOCATION one block from Forsyth Park and a 15 minute walk to City Market and Riverstreet. There is a coffee shop and health food store one block away and several good restaurants, plus a Kroger only 2 blocks. The space Private, quaint, comfortable bed and nice soft sheets and covers. Great soft pillows. Television with with Dishnetwork in room also. Guest access Bedroom, Bath, kitchen, LR/DR Combo, courtyard and front porch. SVR-00294 During your stay I interact with my guests to their level of comfort. Other things to note Savannah offers so many things for so many people. It includes things for all ages, all different backgrounds, all different historical interests, and all diversified racial interests not to mention most art forms are represented in Savannah, literally. You can travel the world over and never find as many things of interest as you will in Savannah, Ga. It’s truly one of the most unique cities you’ll ever visit. Tours abound! From horse and buggy to trolley tours, peddie cab, hover round to walking tours. Late night they even have pub “crawls” instead of pub “walking” tours! If you are interested in walking ghost tours, which I find to be better than the trolly ghost tours, and you are ok with walking, my friend Tammy Marlow is an excellent tour guide and I highly recommend her walking Ghost tour. It’s a lot of fun! Look up Tammytourssavannah.com for that or her cell is 912-604-2634. For trolley tours I recommend Old Savannah Tours the White trolleys are the best for history and general things about the city. It will give you a good overall view of everything in the city. The Owens Thomas House is a wonderful tour with lots of history as well as the Andrew Lowe House. Both are incredibly interesting for their history as well as their stunning architecture. The Jepson Center for the Arts is a great interactive art gallery. You can do a painting there for free and bring it home. It’s fun. The Telfair Art Museum, the Pin Point Museum for African American Heritage, very very interesting, the Ralph Mark Gilbert Civil Rights Museum, the Ships of the Sea museum (maritime museum), Old Fort Jackson Museum (revolutionary war museum), Tybee Maritime Museum and Lighthouse. There are more but to me these are the best in Savannah. Fort Pulaski out near Tybee is really nice and fun to do for history tour about the Civil war. Tybee Beach is near there. Huckapoos and North Beach Grill are good restaurants to eat at on Tybee Island. For local eating I recommend: Fine dining, La Scala on 37th, Belford’s in City Market, The Pink House on Abercorn, Prohibition on MLK Blvd is quaint, little different menu, Collins Quarter on Bull St just to name a few. Just fun and very casual, Betty Bombers on Bull St, Blowing Smoke on Habersham, The Black Rabbit on Barnard St, The Fork and Dagger on Abercorn St, Clary’s Café and The Crystal Beer Parlor at Jefferson and Jones. Itialian and pizza, Screamin’ Mimis’ on Oglethorpe, Vinnie Van Go Go’s in City Market or Couco Pazzo on Abercorn St. For Mexican Tequila’s Town on Whitaker is really good. For Greek food Olympia Café on River Street. The best calamari in the world and the most tasty lamb chops ever. For great southern cuisine Mrs Wilkes on Jones Street is a must for lunch. It’s boarding house style and the food is the best. Otherwise, it’s The Sisters of the New South (real soul food) or The Lady and sons (Paula Deen) very good southern food buffet. There are really a lot of good restaurants in Savannah. This should give you a start to look at the menus and check out what they offer. Check out other things of interest on the web. Once you get here and start exploring you will “be drawn to things” that you will enjoy and have a blast. Savannah is a magical place. Hope this helps you and that you enjoy your trip to Savannah! Enjoy, Ted
