A short distance from 'Le Mura', the famous wall that characterizes the city of Lucca, you can walk (15 minutes) to the historic center, with its churches, monuments and the famous Piazza dell'Anfiteatro (elliptical, unique in its kind), Via Fillungo (the good living room of the city, with its shops and numerous period restaurants) and the Guinigi Tower (with its tree on the top); during the journey you will meet, among other things, the Foro Boario (historical markets, cattle festival, events and agri-food tours) and the river park along the Serchio river (walks, jogging, horseback riding, canoeing). Strategic location to participate in the 'LUCCA COMICS', the famous event held in Lucca, every year, from the end of October to the beginning of November. We recommend visiting the village of Collodi (15 km away), with a visit to Villa Garzoni and its fantastic garden and, for the little ones (but not only), the theme park dedicated to the most famous puppet in the world: Pinocchio. For wellness and spa lovers, Montecatini Terme is about 20 km away. Versilia, with the Carnival of Viareggio in winter and its golden beaches in summer, is about half an hour away by car. For mountain lovers, in all seasons, in an hour by car you can reach the Abetone and Val di Luce areas. From the nearby bus and train stations, the other Tuscan cities are easily accessible, along the two routes Pisa-Livorno and Montecatini-Pistoia-Florence.
