This treetops lakeview retreat is located on the South Western side of Lake Taupo. Tongariro Crossing, Mt Ruapehu Skifield, Turangi Adventure Tourism, hotpools, great bush walks and trout fishing are all within close proximity. Admire lake views and listen to birdsong from the treetops. Enjoy barista style coffee, grab a book and simply relax and enjoy the views from the expansive deck. At night, why not barbecue with drinks on the deck or in the winter, enjoy the ambience of the warm fire! The space Upstairs at this Pukawa accommodation, bedroom 1 has a queen bed , an ensuite and a private balcony. Downstairs, bedroom 2 also has a queen bed, while bedroom 3 includes a single bunk set suitable for children only. For larger groups, there is an annex off the master bedroom which has two single comfortable beds. To complete your convenient group set up, there is also a bathroom on the ground floor. Outdoors, the expansive deck ensures you can sit out and enjoy the morning sunrise, and in the evening, the northwest side of the deck means you can bask in the evening sunshine, relax under the sun umbrella, or perhaps enjoy your barbecue whilst admiring the view. In the winter colder months, you can enjoy the ambience and warmth of the fire or use the heatpump, and relax in the recliner theatre style seats- (there’s a choice of Freeview , or Netflix ). For added convenience, we also have a great sound system which you can connect to wirelessly using Bluetooth. In the warmer months we have freestanding fans, plus the inverter heatpump which you can set to cool mode. Please feel free to read the guidebook which recommends activities and restaurants in the area. This treetops retreat can accommodate up to 8 people, but only up to 6 ADULTS MAXIMUM. (The bunk beds are suitable for children only.) Groups of people under the age of 25 years of age not permitted to stay sorry. ***This property may not be suitable for toddlers, given that the outdoor area is comprised by the deck as shown on the photos. The decking is safe but you are located high in the treetops. Strictly no sitting, or leaning on or over the RAILINGS of the balcony as you are high in the treetops. The deck is perfect for sitting on with outdoor furniture provided. Please see photos. The annex bedroom is off the master bedroom. It has a low wall in one part that overlooks the dining room. Because of this,the annex room is NOT suitable for toddlers and young children. Please note that due to our unique location in the treetops we are on filtered tank water. We ask guests to be aware of their water usage so there is enough for everyone. Cleaning Fee- Please note this includes not only the cleaning of the property, but also provides you with all fresh cotton linen and towels. Beach towels not included. Xmas and New Year- Strictly no parties or groups. This time of year is suitable for families only. COLDER MONTHS- If you want the ambience and warmth of a fire. You will need to know how to make a fire in our fireplace! Please empty all cooled fire ashes into the bin provided by the fireplace. Please DO NOT put any ashes into the bush which could cause a fire, thank you. Unsure how to build an indoor fire? There are plenty of clips online for you to watch!
