Cabin in Rosburg
Description
Our cabin is on a quiet country road. While nestled in the trees, the cabin sits on a bluff and offers amazing views of the Columbia. It is 45 min. from Astoria, and 60 min. from Long Beach. Sit on the porch and watch river traffic, eagles and deer. Build a fire, in the fireplace, or the firepit. play games or read. Relax on the porch with a cup of coffee, tea or a glass of wine and enjoy the stunning view of the river and the wildlife. The space $10 per person after the first 2 does NOT apply to guests 2 yrs. old and under. To be able to share my cabin and the beauty that surrounds it means a lot to me. You will need to bring your own firewood. Most of the places around the cabin are owned by cousins and are vacation homes. There is WIFI, for those who can't unplug completely. There is a T.V., VCR, DVR, VHS and DVD movies. The kitchen is pretty complete, including a new dishwasher. There are extra quilts and comforters. There are a few old pieces that belonged to family members that have meaning for me, and I enjoy seeing them. I'm not sharing a space; I'm sharing part of my life. So please feel free to have a cozy fire, play some games, watch a movie, sit on the porch and enjoy the view. We provide pancake mix, syrup, jam, a variety of coffees and teas, quick breads, Swiss Miss for breakfast. We also provide sheep milk soap, so good for your skin. Please take home any unused jam, breads and soap. We would also like your feedback, what you liked what you didn't like so please leave a review on Airbnb. The cabin is on a well. If you don't like well water, you may want to bring some bottled water. Guest access You will have the entire cabin to yourself. There is a fireplace and a firepit (you will need to bring your own firewood). There are games and movies. We keep the garage locked. The beach across the road is private, so there is NO access to it. If you would like to go for a walk or run, the road is a great place. The locals are often seen out walking or jogging. It's quiet and the view is great, very relaxing. The same goes for the area up behind the cabin. There is a boat launch and fishing nearby, at the Rosburg Hall. There is NO BEACH access. All of the land, going out to the cabin is privately owned. All along the drive out you will see private, no trespassing signs. Please respect them. Think of how you would feel if people came into your yard and just started making themselves at home. Other things to note The beach across the road is off limits, as it is a private beach. There is a boat launch nearby and plenty of good fishing. Not available for deer or elk hunters, as the area is posted no hunting. The cabin is on a well. If you don't like well water, please bring bottled water. We NO longer rent to guests under 25yrs. old. NO parties. No smoking. Dogs are welcome as long as you are willing to follow the rules. Please close the back porch door before opening the kitchen door after dusk. If you don't, you may end up letting a bat in the cabin. Make sure ALL windows and doors are closed and locked before you leave. It's not easy getting a raccoon out after a guest has left the door open and food sitting out.
