Beautiful & clean sun-filled bedroom room in a lovely smoke free home in a quiet, residential neighborhood. It's 1.8 mi/6-min drive to Bowdoin College, shops & restaurants. We're close to bike/running trails, recreation parks & river walk. Beaches are 15 mins away & state parks start at 30 mins away. It's located in a small, country town 25 - 35 minutes north of Portland with a few shops/food. Please take note of the location as you determine where you plan to explore this lovely state. You are renting the room. You may place things in the fridge/freezer. If you use the stove/microwave, you will clean up after and place dishes, utensils in the dishwasher and hand wash pots/pans and put them away. You will use placemats at the table. Do not use or place items on the decorative table runners. Use coasters under drinks. In addition to the bedroom and bathroom, you may use the kitchen, living room and patio. This is a self-directed listing. This means I am usually not available to greet or see guests off. I provide very detailed instructions how to find the house, where to park, how to enter, how to find the room, and info on getting settled. Questions are to be texted using the messaging feature on the app. You may call if it’s truly time-sensitive or an emergency. Guests are expected to have the app downloaded and notifications are turned on to allow for any last minute instructions, details, etc. to reach the guest (or host). Messages after 10 PM ET may not be returned until after 8 AM ET. Quiet, residential neighborhood. House is on a small side street. This town is the bedroom community for Brunswick and 30-45 minutes away from Portland. I expect guests to research the town and distances before booking. This is a small town in Midcoast Maine. You should plan on having a car or pay for a taxi. Uber and Lyft are not really available here. Walking into downtown Brunswick at a medium/brisk pace will take about 25 minutes. Most restaurants close by 8 - 9 PM during the weekday and are closed on Mondays. This room is one of several listings at this property. This means that there are other guests staying at this property. This room and another listing will share the common bathroom on the second floor. I expect guests “carry-in/carry-out” their toiletries, towels, etc. and leave it in good order for other guests. This means to remove any hair from the drains, wash down/remove hair from shower wall/sinks, close the lid on the toilet. Keep your sounds down (voices, phone calls, laptop/tablet volume, etc.).
