NB - DISTANCE TO BEACH -The house is about 1.5km from the nearest beach - easy distance to walk BUT the house is perched on top the hill making it a solid walk, especially if you are hauling sports gear with you. LOCATION - Khoisands Lodge is not a beach house but rather sits on the edge of the greenbelt (open natural parks that weave through the town) with magnificent views over the village, the lagoon and out to the ocean. Sunsets are incredible all year round. Khoisands Lodge is central to everything. NB - Beds include 4 to 6 single BUNK and LOFT bunk beds - which involve climbing ladders to get to. These are clearly visible in the images of the property so please check this out. Each bedroom is en-suite with shower and toilet and have been specially laid out for families with children, young or old, or just for groups. The main bedroom is very big, is upstairs and has great views and a large comfy king sized bed. The large family kitchen with central table, leads onto a fantastic outside-inside patio/braai room and living room. Folding doors between each allow for spaces to be adapted to suit your needs at any given time - like kids watching TV and adults around the kitchen braai, for example. The house has a separate scullery and laundry plus a secure large garage (not always available to guests). Garden, patio and lawn areas are perfect for drying kiting and other sports gear, there is plenty of parking for cars, motor boats and sailing boats. The living space, all rooms and the garden are completely private from neighbours but the house is situated in a housing suburb and there are rules regarding noise and disruption. The small pool is warm all year round due to the position and is great for cooling off after activities on the lagoon or just for splashing around. Due to the current water crisis in the area, the cover remains on to prevent evaporation and we request very careful usage of the pool to ensure the least waste of the water. The greenbelt to the front of the garden is a 'wild space' that weaves through from the national park area so has many small buck, tortoises, mongoose, guinea fowls and many other visitors each day, which the owners encourage with respect and admiration for their environment. Adding your vegetable peelings, the supplied bird seed and filling the water bowls daily will encourage the local creatures to visit during your stay. The house has a small office work area upstairs with wifi and printer should the need arise for work to be done. The entire space is wonderfully relaxing and the perfect get away for a busy or a chilled holiday. Guest access The spaces not accessible on the property is a storeroom within the house holding the house necessities, the underground basement - where the garden equipment is stored and at times the garage, which will be locked on occasion out of necessity. Other things to note STRICKTLY NO PARTIES. FAQ.
