Such a great old cottage to spend a relaxing weekend. Private dock and canoe to cruise around Moon Lake.Bright and spacious lake house in the beautiful hills and farms of PA. Short drive from Philly, NYC, Harrisburg, Baltimore. Less than 20 minutes from Anthracite Outdoor Adventure Area, Knoebels Resort, Yuengling Brewery, Pioneer Tunnel Coal Mine, Schuylkill Highridge Business Park, winery’s, and the beautiful Pennsylvania rolling hills and farmlands. Great location for hunters! The space The cottage is very old and still has most of the original doors, windows, door knobs and other hardware. There’s probably not a flat or square surface in the cottage, but all of that gives it its unique charm. Our most common feedback is the relaxed vibe that the cottage brings. When we get to spend a few days there we hate to leave. You can enjoy the lake, and then relax back at the house and watch the sunset on your dock. Bright and airy kitchen and great room, with a little breakfast nook off the kitchen to sip morning coffee. Fully enclosed porch looking out over Moon Lake, and a private dock to sip cool drinks and watch the sunset. Two bedrooms have very comfy bunk beds and ceiling fans in each. Bathroom has a shower only, no tub. Fully equiped kitchen to prepare any meals, coffee maker, French press and coffee bean grinder, bread machine (nothing like the aroma of fresh made bread to fill the cottage....), or take a short drive to some of the local restaurants. Stop by the local winery for some tastings down the road. This is a perfect lake house for families or for a nice romantic weekend with your honey.... Be aware it is not an air conditioned cottage. Guest access Guests can use the entire space. If using canoe, fishing equipment, sports equipment, use all at your own risk. You’re on vacation!! Please have fun!! Other things to note It is NOT an air conditioned cottage! There are ceiling fans, but there are some summer days in PA that can be very hot and humid and the cabin can get hot. PLEASE keep this in mind when booking. It’s not a hotel, it’s just an old cottage. When it’s cooler weather, there is a gas heater on the wall by the kitchen counter that can heat the cabin nicely. There are also electric baseboard heaters in each bedroom and the bathroom. They all have individual controls. Any fishing is catch and release! This cottage is for couples or small families only. This is NOT A PARTY CABIN!!! Please we only rent to 2 adults only with children, we do not rent to 3 or more adults. When staying there, be aware that as a stranger to the lake, you will most likely be asked by some of the residents as to where you are staying.
