Tall House- Walk to Beaches

Your own private retreat located close to the southernmost point of South Pender Island. This unique three story OPEN CONCEPT cabin sleeps up to 4 people and includes a full galley kitchen, 3 piece bathroom, living room, dining room, and office nook. The space On the main floor enjoy a meal in the atrium dining area with evening light cascading through the floor to ceiling windows. Cozy up in the living room while sipping warm drinks in front of the wood stove. On the second floor there is a spacious bedroom with a queen size bed, south facing deck and comfortable workspace nook. A captain’s ladder (STEEP, not for the faint of heart) takes you to the third level loft bedroom(twin beds) where you can enjoy ocean glimpses. Have a barbecue, wander through the garden and enjoy the sea breeze. The sunroom/dining area offers a queen size sofa bed. FYI: main floor is exposed aggregate concrete. (Bring slippers?) Guest access We have a Weber charcoal barbeque, bring your briquettes and fire starters! Other things to note Ferry reservations are required if you are traveling by car from Vancouver. For more information please visit Reservations page of BC Ferries website. Water conservation is important as it is supplied via a well, and the house is on a septic system. Due to the floor plan this house is not suitable for children under 10. Electric and Wood stove heating. (We are having to severely limit our wood supply due to the fact that we haven’t been able to source a supplier for the past 18 months. ) We have a booklet listing all the island points of interest; various lookouts, walks, etc. All amenities are located on the north island. You pass the Driftwood Shopping Centre on your way to the Tall House from the ferry terminal. Open 9:30-6:00 Poet’s Cove Resort is open till 8pm except Friday and Saturday when it is open till 9pm.
