New door installation is scheduled for 06/01. There will be no more issues regarding the door. Small cute and cozy guest suite with separate entrance from the alley where parking spots are. Our home is right near United Center just few minutes away from west loop where many restaurants, cafes and bars are and about 8 minutes away from south loop, the heart of city. The space Dear Future Guests, our listing has a lot of great advantages; location being one of them. Our place is about 3 min walk to United Center and is very close to Downtown Chicago. We have had guests review us with 1 and 5 stars!!! To ensure that our guests have all the information needed we recommend reading through “About this space” section carefully and checking out the neighborhood prior to booking. We will be here to make your stay a GREAT one. Our home has a guest suite that is attached to the rest of the house with a separate entrance from the alley (attached to our home with a door that is locked at all times and that has a alarm sensor on it that is part of our homes security system). That being said, we have central air system, the A/C and heat are controlled through one thermostat which is located on the second floor where we live. That ONLY means you can not change the temperature yourself but you can ALWAYS text me and ask me to adjust the temperature for you! Entrance is through a sliding door that opens up to the balcony. The door does not have a key lock from the inside but you can still lock it just not with a key. There are lock clicks on the sliding door and there is a bar that can be placed behind the door to stop it from sliding / opening. (It is very hard to find locks for sliding doors and we are currently still looking for the old lock that we which had a hole for the key on the inside as well.)Our home is very secured and we never had an issue with security; we have friendly neighbors and most of our neighbors are families with kids. Our home is secured with ADT and has a camera system and siren system; guest suite also has a door sensor and a glass break detector. We have an extra parking spot for guests that needs parking, please just ask for it. Our guest suite is a cozy small studio that has a bed, closet, sofa, tv, table, dinnerware, small refrigerator, coffee maker, toaster, kettle and a full bathroom. Anything in the suite can be used by guests. Any special requests can be made through messaging. I am available through text messages at any time, we also live in the attached home so if there are any problems that occur during stay we can help right away.
