The Barn House
A private country estate on 9 acres in beautiful rural Michigan featuring 5-bedrooms, 2 baths and a large kitchen/living area. This restored Dairy Barn with its original beams was converted into a wonderful residence in the early 1990’s. Cozy, tranquil, and spacious (4,000 square feet) would be a few words to best describe this home with its scenic walk out balcony overlooking a pond. The home owner currently resides in a private apartment in the lower level. With nearly 9 acres, we have a private setting with a spring fed pond. If you are nature lovers, don't forget your binoculars. Our Barn House is set up for 10 people (including children) maximum. We can not allow anymore than 10 at any given time, including day visits. We want to preserve the tranquility and our property. Our guests will have access to the main and upper floors of the barn. Included is a spacious (550 square feet) private balcony with a gas grill and seating for 10 people. We have a private apartment on the lower level, completely closed off from the upper 2 floors. We respect your privacy and will be available if needed. We are outdoor people so feel free to join us at the camp fire or on our private patio below. We have a very private setting. If you are looking for a private retreat, this is your place. If you are looking for fun places to explore, we have a lot of good recommendations, feel free to ask. Would also make a beautiful place for a wedding party to stay. If you book with us, feel free to take wedding photos here. Where we live is a cycling paradise with country roads including rolling hills. The Kalamazoo Nature Center, Kalamazoo Valley River Trail (paved) Ft. Custar and Yankee Springs (for mountain bikers), all fairly close by. Several golf courses close by including Lake Doster (1.5 miles away) check in is 3:00 pm check out is 11 am 4 car maximum at any time (unless arrangements have been made prior to check in)
