Homely room in Sydenham

A double room, perfect for couples and solo travellers visiting or working in London. My place is in Sydenham, a leafy suburb in South London. We are a 12 minute walk to Sydenham station and London Overground for frequent and fast transport to Central London (about 50 minutes). We are located in Zone 3. The space Your room is located downstairs next to the kitchen. Your room is spacious with a double bed, chest of drawers, sofa bed and small table and chairs. We provide towels. Our place is a family home and we live with our two sons aged 16 and 21. I worked as a teacher locally in London for over 25 years. I am now a counsellor for children and young people. We love travelling and meeting people from different cultures, and we welcome guests from all over the world! We are an LGBTQ friendly home. We know London well and we will do our best to help with queries about places to visit and how to get about our great city. Guest access The toilet downstairs is for exclusive use for guests. The shower for guests is located upstairs in the bathroom, which is shared with our family. We clean our shared areas regularly. Guests can use the kitchen for making breakfast, tea and coffee. We ask that if guests prepare light meals in the evening, they do so before 6pm and after 7.30pm and around our use of the kitchen for meal times. Our garden is there for our guests to enjoy, and smoking is permitted in the garden. There is plenty of space to park for free outside our house. During your stay My husband and I both work and may not be here to meet you. Please let us know about your plans for arrival so we can make sure you are settled in or give you instructions to gain access via our key safe. Other things to note We are in South London so Gatwick is our nearest airport and can take approximately an hour from Gatwick to our house via public transport. If you are travelling from Heathrow, Stansted, or Luton airports, we suggest you check journey times, which can be much longer and perhaps consider whether it is worth booking here for short stays. We can help with giving directions from airports.
