Nestled on a peaceful street, our turn-of-the-century home blends vintage charm with modern updates, offering you the best of both worlds. With easy access to local restaurants, coffee shops, hiking trails, and the beauty of nature, this is the perfect spot to relax and explore Peekskill. We enjoy sharing our home. Please note this is a primary residence. The Space Our sunlit home invites you to unwind, whether you're relaxing with family after a day of outdoor adventures or enjoying takeout from one of the fantastic local eateries around the dining table. This historic house features thoughtfully updated bathrooms, a modern kitchen with new appliances (stove, fridge, and washer/dryer), and everything a chef needs to prepare a meal. Coffee lovers will enjoy the local brew from The Peekskill Coffeehouse, with a French Press ready for your use. The living room is the ultimate spot to stretch out on the large, comfy couch in front of the electric fireplace. The dining room seats 6 and has room to squeeze in more for family meals. Step outside to a backyard with flower gardens, and patio seating—perfect for dining under the stars. The spacious yard is also great for soccer or baseball. Upstairs, the master suite offers a serene retreat with its own bathroom and peaceful views of Depew Park. The third-floor suite is a cozy hideaway with a full bathroom and TV, while the second-floor bunk room is perfect for kids. The Neighborhood Our quiet street is lined with charming gardens and historic Victorian Painted Ladies. You’re just two blocks from Blue Mountain Reservation and the local sledding hill. Year-round sunsets are stunning from the property, and you're within walking distance of Metro North, Hudson River boat launches, restaurants, coffee shops, Depew Park, and more. A short drive will take you to Bear Mountain, West Point, Storm King, and several state parks for even more adventure. Enjoy full access to the house and its outdoor spaces, including our spacious 1/3-acre backyard. We’ll be away on vacation during your stay, so the house is yours to relax and enjoy. We head off on vacation when you need to use our home. Sometimes the timing doesn't align. We do appreciate your interest and keep our home listed to help ease the lack of accommodation options in our region. We are only a phone call away if anything comes up during your stay. The neighborhood is family and dog-friendly and walking distance to paved and unpaved walking trails, the riverfront, artist district, dining, and hiking. Peekskill is filled with beautifully maintained turn-of-the-century homes. There are a number of colorful Victorian Painted Ladies on our street. The Peekskill Museum is walking distance and provides a wealth of information about the region. The vibrant artist district, riverfront sunsets, and Hudson River vistas from Charles Point are treasured by the locals. Pricing reflects the incredible location and the fact that this is our primary residence. We like being home, we are happy to share our home. There is an associated cost :) Metro North is less than a mile away and can whisk you into the city in an hour. Even closer to home you can walk to breweries and restaurants (Peekskill Brewery, Birdsall Tavern, Gleason's) and art and culture at the Hudson Valley Center for Contemporary Arts: HVCCA, and Paramount Center for the Arts. Or you can hop on the local Go Peekskill hospitality shuttle that will take you all over town! Boscobel, DIA:Beacon are a short ride away. You can drive to Hudson Valley vineyards (Millbrook, Brotherhood) and distilleries (Hudson Whiskey), West Point is just across the Bear Mountain Bridge, and hiking and biking opportunities abound! Trinity Cruises is a also a great way to explore the Hudson River. On foot, by bike, car, or boat - Peekskill is the place to be :) As a historic home, there’s always something to admire—though there’s still progress to be made. Any ongoing projects will be communicated before your visit, ensuring a comfortable and delightful stay. Feel free to inquire about longer stays during school holidays, as we love sharing our home when possible!
