After our storming success for 6 years with our cosy Hayloft Apartment, we have totally refitted the bathroom, installed a brand new kitchen and added a single bedroom / study. Fresh paint, blinds and carpets throughout! Guests have dedicated parking [Now with EV Charging] a private patio for sunny breakfasts, lunches or sundowners. Home-cooked ready meals are available in the fridge or freezer when you arrive. Message when you book and we can supply details. The Welcome pack's a big hit. The space A large modern, private space. Downstairs there’s a tiled, cosy and fully-equipped kitchen with dishwasher, washing machine, oven, hob, microwave and fridge freezer. Pine kitchen table and chairs. Upstairs, a spacious and sunny studio room with double bed, sofa, tub chair and study table. Separate bathroom (bathtub and shower) and an extra single bedroom with desk. The space is ideal for two home-workers or a couple with a child or an extra guest. Beautiful views over open countryside. Big Freesat / internet TV and excellent WiFi is included. Guests have happily connected to zoom and other Apps to enable remote working or streaming films and music. Away from the cosy Hayloft, there is so much for you and your family to see during your stay. Wander out and meet the piglets, goats and guinea fowl. Enjoy a stroll down our traffic-free lane or over the farm for a leg-stretch or picnic. The Woodland Walk through our SSSI land is a very special feature: pull on your boots and be amazed by the flora, fauna and simple beauty of a wood that has been hardly touched for hundreds of years. Listen out for woodpeckers and watch buzzards and red-kites soaring above you. Various deer and badgers make their homes around the farm. Bluebells, wild garlic, primroses and other wild flowers carpet the floor of the wood amongst ferns and mossy boughs of fallen trees. See how hazel stems have been coppiced for hundreds of years to supply traditional crafts and industries such as hedge-laying and charcoal making. Feedback from guests has been fantastic. They have loved the chance to explore 10 acres of secret woodland at their own pace. We think you will love it here, the Hayloft offers a great retreat for a couple to get away from it all. Once inside your own door, the kitchen welcomes you, then it is up the carpeted stairs to the studio + private bathroom + single bedroom / study. Other things to note Welcome Pack For anyone booking a long stay (and you are VERY WELCOME to come for a week, a month or longer) please note that we do not keep replenishing the delicious goodies we provide as a WELCOME PACK. One “guest” recently pushed this to the limit and then left a three stars review because we didn’t provide a whole month’s supply of washing machine pods, dishwasher tablets and kitchen supplies! Dogs and pets We are happy for you to bring a pet with you. BUT we can ONLY permit a SMALL dog. There just isn’t room for a Labrador or Spaniel and we don’t want to have any dog or cat on the furniture. When you request to book with a dog, we will ask for a little more information before we accept your booking: we are sure you will appreciate how important it is for our livestock and for future guests to keep tabs on who is staying. Any dog you bring must be well-behaved and 100% safe with poultry and cats. The Hayloft has a cosy kitchen and the underfloor heating here makes it an excellent place for your dog bed or transport crate. Dogs must NOT be allowed on the furniture upstairs and you must NEVER leave any animal unattended on our property. There is an additional charge for a dog which you should add when you complete your booking. Ours is a working farm, so we request that your dog is on a lead at all times. Please check in advance if you have any doubts. There is a strict maximum of three adult guests in the Hayloft. There are stairs within the space so parents with very small children should take extreme care AND bring a stair-gate with them.
