Continental breakfast The space Guests have their own double room with private bathroom overlooking The Downs, it’s very peaceful. You will have your own private shower, w.c. and wash basin. The dining room is available for breakfast and any evening take aways. If you are staying for more than 14 night, access to the kitchen and cooking facilities are available. The garden has a stream running through which is part of the Chine. and there are many peaceful places to sit and relax in the sunshine, you may see some red Squirrels. At night you could sit and stargaze as we are in a dark sky area. The Downs can be accessed through a stile in the grounds of the neighbouring Church. Guest access The cottage is on a direct bus route to Ventnor and Newport and Sandown and Ryde in the other direction. There is a train service from the end of Ryde Pier to Shanklin. There is free parking infront of the cottage and plenty of safe space to store bikes. Please note there are steep stairs as it is a Victorian cottage During your stay I can offer transfers and tours by prior pricing agreement, please contact me. The train service can then bring you to Shanklin. If you would like to be collected from the train station please mention this on booking, as this can be arranged by prior agreement.
