A lovingly restored former working stable is now a cosy, unique retreat. Perfect for walkers, cyclists, L'Enclume diners, & visitors to Cartmel (1 mile away). Lake Windermere is a quick 10 min drive. Curl up in front of a wood burning stove. Films, games, TV, sheepskin rugs & very comfy bed. Toilet & shower are a short step outside the Stables, in beautiful gardens. Separate lounge space with wifi & cooking hob and small kitchenette. Comfort, style & nature. The space Beckside Stables a is completely unique option for 2 adults, renovated with love and care, and full of quirky contemporary pieces, and original features. The original oak beams in the ceiling, and slate floor have been restored, as they would have been hundreds of years ago. A kingsize bed, with extremely comfy tempur mattress, is on a reduced height mezzanine level, accessed by a small staircase, & above the open plan living space. Lie in bed and listen to the crackles of the fire below, watching the stars through the ceiling window. The short trip to the separate (unheated) toilet and shower area is made easy with slippers & dressing gowns. All the facilities are spotlessly clean. Breakfast essentials, toiletries & towels are provided, and the hosts are available at all times if you need any guidance on the local area, walks, day trips or anything else. But you will be left in peace & privacy to enjoy your romantic and relaxing retreat, with Cartmel village a 10 min walk away, offering plenty of pubs and dining options. Guest access Guests have exclusive access to the garden shower room, a spotless and contemporary space with an electric shower and a sink. The toilet is next door to this room. These facilities are outside of the Stables in a separate building, lit up at night, a very short distance from the stables. Lots of flowers and plants grow all around, so you will feel surrounded by nature. There is also a lounge area, in a separate building but very close by, where you can access wifi, and use a cooking stove and toaster. I provide any cooking equipment you may need, and do all your washing up. There is a fridge to store your food. We also have large and beautiful gardens and an orchard, with loungers, table and chairs placed around, for guests to enjoy. A workspace is also available for anyone needing to make some work calls or spend a little quiet time catching up on business or studies. Other things to note Strictly no dogs. There is a cockerpoo on site but no dogs are allowed inside the Stables.
