Chalet F'net is a private summer chalet above Saint-Gervais with double views over the Mont Blanc mountain range, a sunny balcony, Starlink Wi-Fi, home cinema and hiking from the door. Walk to the nearby paragliding take-off point, explore the Tramway du Mont-Blanc, then come home to dinner, films and mountain air. The space Chalet F'net is a private, romantic summer mountain hideaway above Saint-Gervais-les-Bains, newly opened up to wide views across the Chaîne d’Aravis and the Fiz mountains. Set in private woodland, with a new balcony, Starlink high-speed Wi-Fi, home cinema and hiking from the door, it is made for lovers, lovers of nature, walkers, families who want quality time together, and anyone wanting to escape the heat and crowds of the city. The historic chalet d'alpage sits over three floors and combines old Alpine timber, stone, lime plaster, vintage baths, soft furs, books, games and fires with modern comforts. It feels remote and peaceful, but Saint-Gervais, Les Houches, Megève and Chamonix are all within easy reach. The new balcony is the summer heart of the chalet: morning coffee with mountain views, long lunches after a walk, evening drinks as the light changes across the peaks. Inside, the main living floor has an open-plan kitchen, dining area and sitting room with a revolving wood-burning stove, home cinema, sound bar and Starlink Wi-Fi. It works well for film nights, remote working, planning the next day’s hike or simply hiding from the heat of the valley. The designer kitchen has a Nespresso machine, fridge, gas hob, toaster and basic pantry items. The dining table is large, rustic and sociable with chunky bark tree trunk legs. Sleeping is arranged over the ground and top floors. The ground-floor master bedroom has stone walls, lime plaster, a bioethanol fire and an en-suite bathroom opening towards the garden, with a Japanese-style bath and WC. Upstairs, the hayloft bedroom has old timbers, mountain views and a freestanding vintage copper bath. There is also a new small coin nuit bed on a minstrel gallery next to the living room tucked under the eaves, ideal as a magical extra sleeping nook. Outside, the chalet is surrounded by woodland and mountain air. There is a paragliding take-off point behind us, and the area is excellent for hiking, mountain biking, summer lifts, swimming lakes, thermal baths and day trips into Chamonix or Megève - and even Italy is less than an hour away. Local summer highlights include the Tramway du Mont-Blanc from Saint-Gervais/Le Fayet, walks towards Nid d’Aigle, the Saint-Gervais thermal baths, Bettex, Les Houches, Chamonix, Megève (designer shops) and the wider Mont Blanc region. There are tonnes of trails around the door of Chalet F'net too! Concierge help is available by arrangement. Our chalet guardians stay separately nearby and can help with luggage access, shopping, cooking, picnics or simple arrival support. They are there if needed, but your privacy is respected. Access note: in summer, guests with a suitable 4x4 can usually drive up to the chalet. Without a 4x4, the parking area is around 400 metres away and the final approach is a untarmacked track - but no need to worry as we provide a tracked vehicle and concierge to help with your arrival, departure and anything in between! Chalet F'net is best for guests who enjoy character, privacy, views and a little mountain adventure. Guest access Access is part of the secluded mountain character of Chalet F'net. In summer, guests with a suitable 4x4 can usually drive to the chalet. Otherwise, parking is around 400 metres away and the final approach is a steep, untarmacked mountain track. We can help with luggage by arrangement, including use of our tracked vehicle for arrival and departure. Please bring proper footwear and expect a real Alpine setting, not a roadside rental. Other things to note The chalet is in a real mountain setting, so access, footwear and weather matter. It is best suited to guests who like privacy, nature and a little adventure. Because of the mountain access, stairs, woodland setting and open sleeping areas, the chalet is better suited to older children and confident walkers than to babies or very young children. Please ask before booking with toddlers or babies so we can advise honestly. Starlink Wi-Fi makes the chalet suitable for remote working, streaming and film nights, but it is still a secluded Alpine property. In rare mountain weather, services can be more variable than in town. Logs, linen, towels and basic kitchen condiments are provided. Longer stays may be available by request.
