Cosy rural cottage in lovely big Cheshire garden

Welcome to the Mariannerie! This cosy cottage nestles under two enormous oak trees in a large garden, with views over open fields. Our family of 5 people plus an Airedale Terrier will give you a warm welcome and will do everything we can to help you enjoy your stay. Simply furnished and comfortable, you can relax inside the cottage or explore the garden - the patio, the hammock, the fire-pit, or the BBQ, or just sitting in the damson orchard admiring the blossom! The space The Mariannerie is a self contained cottage in a large garden. In front of it is the gravel driveway shared with the main house, and behind, open fields. We have just invested in a huge king sized bed for your good night's sleep, and there is a large circular table for enjoying meals or using as a work space. Eat and work while gazing at the view! The well-equipped kitchen has an under-counter fridge, gas hob and combination microwave / convection oven, as well as all the pans, oven dishes etc you need to cook up a feast! Of course, anything else you require we will be happy to lend out of our own kitchen. You are welcome to put your items in our chest freezer in the shed, and to make use of our washing machine in the main house utility room. The Mariannerie is very conveniently located for access to Manchester Airport, Manchester, Birmingham, Stoke on Trent, North Wales, Liverpool, the Peak District and the Staffordshire Moorlands. Thus we can offer stunning walking routes, fantastic travel links, world-class shopping facilities and oodles of industrial and cultural history all within an hour's drive. Guest access Entire Mariannerie, patio, garden, BBQ, fire pit, washing machine in main house - just ask, freezer in shed Other things to note We have Elmer an Airedale Terrier bitch who is part of our family. She has access to the driveway and the garden immediately around the house and Mariannerie, but not the hammock lawn, vegetable patch or orchard area. It is important to check that she is safely away in our house before opening the front gates to the road, whether arriving or leaving! If we are expecting your arrival, we will have done that part. She is super friendly, but if you are not happy with dogs this may not be the place for you. We do not allow her entry into the Mariannerie, so your place is a dog-free zone! From time to time Elmer may have a litter of cute Airedale puppies, so you may be lucky enough to be part of that excitement if your visit coincides with a whelping. As they mature they need plenty of contact with humans, so there would be opportunities to cuddle, feed and play with them if you were interested! It's quite a lot of work between about 4 weeks old and 8-10 weeks when they go to their new homes. All assistance gratefully received!
