Nestled amidst the Som Van forest, our garden home in Batahar Village of Manali, offers some of the best bounties of nature. Huddled in apple orchard full of flowers, butterflies and birds, this home is at a 5 minute walk from the Beas river. The private room is equipped with all the basic amenities of a modern day home ensuring a comfortable & warm stay. The surroundings offer an enriching outdoor experience for guests, while enjoying the tranquility, calm and peace of the Dhauladhar mountains. The space Our orchard home is surrounded by the lush green forest cover of Som Van, secluded and distant from the hustle & bustle of the Manali town. Besides the sounds of the chirping birds and flowing water of the river Beas one can occasionally find the sounds of young children from the nearby buddhist school which adds to the calm ambiance of this home. The garden and the orchard of our nature home offers enriching peek into the Himalayan flora and fauna. A small walk to the nearby forest leads to the river side where one can have a refreshing outdoors experience. Though the real beauty of our home lies in the surroundings, the interiors provide soothing and relaxed ambiance and amenities for a comfortable stay. The home includes three tastefully done spacious bedrooms with ample natural light and views of the lush orchards. The rooms have comfortable beds, sitting area, storage as well as an electric kettle for guest's comforts. There is a common living cum dining area that connects to the three private room. The open kitchen connected to dining area can be used by the guests for cooking their own style. Guest access The best part of the home is the verandah which provides a sitting area for guests to relax with a cup of tea or to just enjoy a read while lending occasional glances to the rich garden. The guests can also access the garden to steal some sunshine and maybe enjoy a small bonfire on a chilly night. The living and dining space are very much there for the guests to use all the time during their stay. Though we do not recommend, but there is a television which can be accessed by the guests to stay connected and entertained, if one feels a need to take a break away from the beauty of nature. During your stay We stay on the first floor of the same home. Our entrance is separate and we are happy to mind our own business but would be happier for guests to come in anytime for a quick chat or a long discussion over tea or a meal. We love gaining knowledge and listening to experiences and sharing whatever little we have gathered with our guests. We can also help guests plan their itineraries or suggest options for activities and fun around our space. Other things to note - We are 14km away from Mall Road of Manali, a drive of 25 min approx. - Enough parking space is part of our premises, one will have to walk through the garden (5 mins hilly)/forest (10 mins straight) to reach the home. We have porters to help you bring your luggage till the rooms. - Being surrounded by garden and forests, along with many birds and butterflies comes some insects, spiders, ghekos and lizards. They mind there own business till we mind ours. - As we are bit away from regular hustle bustle, food options are limited to home cooked food for breakfast and dinner. While one can enjoy Manali and Naggar's famous eateries & restaurants for lunch, we are happy to provide home cooked delicacies with a notice in advance. - For tired drivers, our comfortable out-house is available complimentary, which can accommodate 2-3 pax.
