A tranquil 2-bed, 2.5-bathroom apartment on the 4th floor offers stunning views of Plaza Zabala, one of Montevideo's most beautiful squares. The shared terrace provides a panoramic outlook of the Old Town, surrounded by the sea on a peninsula. Situated in the heart of Ciudad Vieja, just half a block from Sarandi, the main pedestrian street, the residence is immersed in the historic district, surrounded by museums, restaurants, cafes, stores, and charming pedestrian streets. The space This apartment offers great privacy and is illuminated with natural light in every room. The kitchen is fully equipped with convection oven, induction cook top, full size refrigerator and freezer, dishwasher, microwave, cooking utensils, electric coffee machine, integrated drinking water filter and purification system. There are 2 ensuite bedrooms - The master bedroom is equipped with an queen bed (oversized - bigger than a standard queen, but not quite a king), desk area, large dressing room and spacious bathroom with shower, the second bedroom has 2 twin beds (can be combined to form a king size bed) with a bathroom with shower and the washing machine. We provide high quality, imported linens and towels. All space has aire conditioning and can be used separately. Fast Fiber Optic Internet (WiFi and internet router for a direct connection) Stereo system, cable to connect your iPod 42" flat screen TV and a HDMI cable to hook up your PC computer or a Chrome Cast to watch movies . TV is not connected to Uruguayan channels. Secure, quiet, high standards building with 2 elevators Enormous rooftop terrace with views of the Old City and the sea (shared with the building) - There are lawn chairs to take up to the terrace to enjoy some sun. Non-smoking, no pets Guest access We ask our guests to be sincere. In fact, when some stays were originally planned for 2 guests, 2 other guests came to share the apartment for part of the stay. We ask that the nights shared with other people be indicated. They may be free for 2 nights. Beyond that, a fee of 20 USD per night and per person might be charged. Thank you for your understanding Other things to note Check-in and Check-out Our Friend Mauro we'll be there to welcome you. A check-in and check-out time will be scheduled. If possible, Mauro is able to be flexible on the check-in and check-out times. It will need to be agreed upon at least 5 days before your arrival date, additional notice is appreciated. Mauro will meet you at the apartment at the scheduled check-in time.He will show you around the apartment and answer any questions you may have about Montevideo and things to do in the area. Early morning or late night check-in and check-outs (outside of regular operating hours 9 am to 9 pm) will be charged at an additional cost of $30 USD. Apartment Cleanliness and furniture settlement As apartment owners, we maintain the highest cleanliness standards possible with our apartment. We expect the renters to leave our apartment in a tidy condition - meaning, all dishes need to be washed, garbage will be collected and disposed of, old food items need to be thrown away. When leaving, the furniture are to be placed in same place as arrival. Electricity Charges and Green Consciousness We charge for electricity at cost to encourage our guests to use the air conditioning and electricity responsibly. Our guests normally use between 1kW to 5kW per day. 5kW per day are free, included in the rental fee. Upon check in and check out an electric reading is taken. The cost of 8 pesos/kW will then be charged and paid at check-out in Uruguayan Pesos over 5KW per day. We would like our vacationers to be energy conscious and responsible for their energy use. We furnished this apartment green. We have accommodated the apartment with LED lights and energy efficient appliances and light bulbs, help the planet, and your wallet. We are working on solutions for insulation in a country where this is a very new idea ! High efficiency air conditioning has been installed in the apartment for our guests' comfort. Keys In 2022, we had a reinforced door set up. The keys are to be kept carefully. In case of losing a key, we will charge the lock change for $300USD.
