Renovated 1890 house in an up and coming area near downtown Roanoke. Steps from the Jefferson Center and YMCA, and a ten minute walk to the market building, with bars, restaurants and breweries in between. Comfortable queen sized bed! Like a hotel room but with more "there" there! Gigablast WiFI and Youtube TV ***Room cleaned and serviced by owner. No pets.*** Cool retro furnishings Vaughan Bassett Virginia-made queen sized bed with Sealy mattress set Hotel style heat and AC controlled by guest 32” Smart YouTube TV. Gigablast internet with WiFi Self contained studio apartment and double decker front porches Check in is usually at 3:00 p.m. but can often be flexible. Check out is at 11:00 am but can also be flexible with prior notice. I live only 1 km away, so I am available to help you get the most out of your stay. I have a lock box for most check ins. I love Roanoke and know a lot of great places to eat, drink and play outside. The west end of downtown is quieter than the market area, with ample free parking, but still an easy walk to all the attractions. If you are coming to see a show at the Jefferson Center, we are right across the street! Don't let the "no man's land" you will discover walking just east of my place on Campbell Avenue scare you. It runs right past the Police station and a ton of newly developed apartments on its way to the market area. Zagster bike share kiosk 300 feet west of building! The Amtrak station is 5 blocks east, where many taxis wait to pick up train passengers at night. The unit is on a bus route, and a short walk to downtown, where you can catch the smart way bus to Blacksburg (Virginia Tech). New Zagster bike share kiosk 300 feet west of the building! This apartment is close to parks and greenways. Bring your bikes! there is also a bike share kiosk two doors west. You can access it through Zagster. The studio is walkable to downtown and a short drive/longer walk to Grandin Village. Neighborhood is redeveloping fast and while nearby vacant lots may be a little off putting, the area is full of new residents and the police station is just one block away. Three craft breweries (mostly open Wed through Sunday) are also a short walk away.
