Lodge 33 Mjejane - Imbabala lodge is situated on the southern bank of the Crocodile River on the southern border of the iconic Kruger National Park. This is an idyllic place where you can relax and enjoy nature at its best. The lodge is situated in Mjejane Game Reserve that is home to the big 5. The southern border of the Kruger National Park is open to our Reserve and the animals cross freely. Self catering, max 10 person lodge. Children 0-17 are included in the amount of 10 people. 10 Person The space Mjejane Game Reserve is a privately owned reserve and is ajacent to the southern border of Kruger National Park, Mpumulanga. LODGE 33 - IMBABALA LODGE This magnificentodge is 860sqm in size. It consists of 2 open plan areas. There is an open plan kitchen and dining room. The kitchen is fully equipped and the scullery has upmarket appliances. A large fireplace serves this area. The second open plan consists of the games room, bar and lounge. This area also has an internal braai at the bar area. The lounge has a plasma screen, dstv and dvd player with surround sound. A 360-degree fireplace and guest bathroom serves this area. 2 large stacking folding doors open up onto the wooden deck with an undercover patio. Furthermore there is a rim-flow swimming pool and a boma. You are literally a stones-through away from the Crocodile River with the Kruger National Park across the river. Game viewing from the deck will be superb. A unique feature of this property is an underground wine cellar. A staircase leads you to an old-school cellar with 3 authentic wine barrels that set the mood. A full range of white and red wines is available for cash purchase. There is also an authentic dining table and only candle lights. This lodge has 5 separate bedrooms with full en-suite bathrooms. Each bedroom has a fireplace and air-conditioning. 2 of the bedrooms will have double beds, and 3 bedrooms will each have 2 single beds, which can be pushed together. Each bedroom has its own private balcony. This lodge can accommodate 10 people maximum. There is an undercover parking area for 4 vehicles. The lodge is self-catering, and you have your own game drive vehicle, game ranger and home attendant at your disposal (excl Public holidays and Sundays). Kindly note that Mondays are big clean up days and staff start working at 8h00 to attend to all the duties, including the deck, swimming pool and jacuzzi if used and working. Directions: The Reserve is within easy access from all major centers – approximately 4 hours’ drive from Gauteng, and a mere 45 minutes away from Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport with connecting flights from OR Tambo, Cape Town and Durban Airports Access to the reserve is gained via the N4, approximately 2,5km past the town of Hectorspruit, on the left side between Malelane and Komatipoort, en route to Maputo and Swaziland. GPS co-ordinates: S25° 26' 30.1" E 31° 42' 27.9" PLEASE NOTE: At the Entrance Gate of the Reserve you will have to pay a Conservative and Road Levy per vehicle entering. this levy is valid for a maximum of 7 days. The payment is for your own account and has to be done via card payment at the gate before they will grant you access. Please adhere to the Game Reserve Rules and the Bush rules at all times. And when on game drives The game Ranger will guide you to what is allowed and what not. This is for your own safety. Thank You! The space is magnificent and the view spectacular. Hope you will enjoy our lodge just as much as we do!! Guest access The whole space is available to you. Other things to note PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING: Each vehicle in your party has to pay a Mjejane Conservation and Road Levy of R250 per vehicle, and that is valid for 7 days. This has to be paid by card at the gate entrance. This is for your own account. Each vehicle, Driver and amount of people per vehicle has to be registered on the Mjejane Reserve Register and will get an QR code that will be send to you and which the guards need at the entrance with a valid drivers licence. Please note that the speed limit throughout the reserve is 40kmh. Pease adhere to that and avoid getting fined. Traffic fines are for your own account and have to be settled when exiting the Reserve. Please adhere to the Game Reserve Rules and the Bush rules at all times. And when on game drives the game ranger will guide you to what is allowed and what not. This is for your own safety. Game drives only in Mjejane Reserve allowed with Game Ranger and Vehicle. If you want to visit the Kruger National Park, that has to be in your own vehicle. Mjejane Reserve Rules allow a maximum 10 people to sleep in the lodge at any time. Babies and children below the age of 2 are part of the 10 people allowed, and this is due to water availability for each lodge. The Main River Lodge has accommodation available as well that can be booked via them directly on their website if your party is over 10 people. Maximum of 10 people at any time on the Game Driving vehicle as well. There is a water filtration system in the kitchen for personal use. The ice machine is linked to the water filtration system. Extra ice is normally in the chest freezer. Coffee filter machine requires disposable filters. Please bring along if you are going to use the machine. There is a coffee plunger. Please bring your own staple of spices, salts, and oils. Public Holidays: no cleaner available. Sundays: No cleaner and no game drives. Kindly note that Mondays are a big clean-up day, and staff start working at 8h00 and will be around the whole lodge to attend to different clean-up duties, including the swimming pool, deck, and jacuzzi if needed. TIPS: Cash tips to the staff are dearly appreciated after your stay! Thank you!
