It would suit solo adventurers, couples, families (with kids), and big groups. Only an hour's drive from Edinburgh, Glasgow, Perth and St Andrews, it is also the ideal base for golfers, walkers and visitors to Scotland. The space Shiel House sits in three acres of beautifully planted mature gardens, rich with rhododendrons and azaleas. There is a large well maintained lawn perfect for a family game of cricket or croquet, a Japanese inspired pond and a separate walled garden. The extensive gardens are provided with total privacy by the surrounding forest. The house is comfortably furnished as a family home and has a cosy lounge with a wood burning stove, TV and plenty of family board games. The kitchen is modern and well equipped with a range oven and table and chairs and there is a large conservatory with perfect, uninterrupted views down the valley towards Stirling and the Wallace monument.
