This beautiful Irish farmhouse has been in our family for five generations. It has recently been restored and has all moderm amenities including free wifi. The surrounding gardens are peaceful and secluded. The space Cherrytree Farmhouse is situated in the midst of the picturesque County Down Countryside, ten minutes from Castlewellan and fifteen minutes from Newcastle. This lovingly restored, stone built farmhouse and the surrounding farmland have been in the McNeill family for five generations. The property has recently been restored to a high standard with all modern amenities, while retaining the historical character of the original building. The mature gardens are private and secluded with a summerhouse and conservatory for the use of guests. They provide a tranquil setting for adults to relax and children to play and are an ideal location for picnics or barbecues. The property is NI tourist board certified. Guest access The accommodation consists of four bedrooms (one double with king size bed, one twin room, one twin/double with super king bed. and one room with bunk beds) All bedrooms have garden views. There are two bathrooms, one with stand alone bath, wash hand basin and WC and the other with walk in shower, wash hand basin and WC. The traditional dining room is a great place to have dinner in style. You can also relax in the drawing room with upright piano or the living room with breakfast table and open fire. The kitchen is well equipped with hob, oven, microwave, coffee machine, dishwasher and fridge freezer and there is also a utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer. Other things to note Minimum stay 4 nights. Reduction for stays of one week or more.
