Casa Susanna is one of the oldest houses in Monteveglio. In the heart of the village, just a few steps from nature walks, it’s the perfect base to visit Bologna and Modena (30 minutes away) and to discover excellent local food. The space includes two double bedrooms and a private bathroom for your exclusive use. Guests can also enjoy a rustic shared kitchenette (shared with one other guest) and the garden, perfect for relaxing and experiencing an authentic, homely atmosphere. The space Casa Susanna is a home of artists, food lovers, and antique collectors. It’s a cherished family house, full of character and small stories to discover. We warmly welcome guests who wish to relax and enjoy an authentic, homely atmosphere — far from the impersonal standards of hotels. The space includes two double bedrooms and a private bathroom for your exclusive use, located in the hallway next to the rooms. (The base rate refers to the use of one bedroom for two people. The second bedroom is opened only for groups of more than two guests, with a small supplement.) Guests can use the rustic kitchenette (shared with at most one other room) and the garden -perfect for relaxing or having breakfast outdoors in the warmer months. ☕ Tea, herbal teas, and coffee are always available. 🙏 Please keep the kitchen tidy and wash any dishes you use in the sink provided. The house is divided so that the spaces dedicated to guests are quiet and independent. Susanna, who lives in the main part of the house, is a kind and friendly American lady — always happy to offer tips or local information, while never being intrusive. All guests have access to the shared areas: The large garden The guest kitchen, where you can help yourself to tea and coffee, play cards, and find everything you need to prepare a light meal or store food for a short stay The laundry area (available for a fee) During your stay Virginia and Ilaria, the two sisters who manage the property, are always available through the app for any questions or assistance before and during your stay. Susanna, who lives in the house, is happy to offer local advice and help with any practical questions during your visit. Check-in will be handled by one of the sisters or by our colleague Ngozi. It’s important to agree on your arrival time in advance so we can welcome you properly. Other things to note Casa Susanna is an old, well-loved home — full of charm and a few small imperfections. The walls are quite thin, so you might occasionally hear the life of the house around you; it’s part of its authenticity. The bathroom is for your exclusive use but is located in the hallway next to the bedrooms. The kitchenette is shared with guests from just one other room, so please be respectful and leave it clean after use. There’s no air conditioning, but the house stays cool in summer and has central heating in winter. Well-behaved pets are welcome by prior arrangement.
