quiet, clean room in large home
Description
I live in a large home on the S.W. side of Rochester, not far from the Historic Center. It's a quiet, private neighborhood, very safe. The homes in the neighborhood sit on 2+ acre lots and are very well maintained. The space I basically live on the upstairs level of my large home, going downstairs to do laundry, tidy up the guest bathroom, check the temp or maybe use the treadmill or recumbent (guests are welcome to use these, too). The bathroom is shared if the second room is reserved for the same day(s), which happens maybe 10% of the time in the winter, more often in summer months. If this is a concern, please send me a message to inquire. I do try to check with both in-house and incoming guests to make sure it's OK before accepting an incoming reservation. I follow the same process to check with either the incoming or in-house guest when a service dog will be traveling with the potential guest if either is traveling with a service animal. At this time, guest access to the fenced in backyard requires approval by the host. This area is where 'my girls' spend much of their time unless they are with me in the kitchen area. Guest access A full-size refrigerator, small microwave and countertop convection oven are available for guest use. I can provide non-disposable utensils and dishware upon request. A selection of tea is provided. If you're a coffee drinker, I apologize, but at the time of this writing, my Keurig is in disrepair. The wet bar area surrounding the microwave / 'frig area is available for guest use to enjoy what they prepare in the microwave or convection oven, or something stored in the 'frig. As the living area part of the room gets remodeled more, I hope to be able to offer as a separate listing, also. During your stay I try to take cues from guests to interact as much or little as they prefer. Though I tend to be a private person, I do thoroughly enjoy getting to know people, listening to life lessons, and sharing the excitement or woe of the day. Other things to note We've found this room works best for guests who do not need an extended place to stay unless they are mostly looking for a quiet peaceful place while they spend more of their time enjoying the sites or scents (i.e. eateries) in the area. Guest's who like to work at a desk or relax in an upholstered chair find the 'Clean Quiet Room in Large Home' fits their needs better.
