Description

Built in 2017. It's pleasant 15 minute walk to historic downtown Flagstaff and 2 blocks to Thorpe park with hiking and biking on Observatory Mesa. A radiant heat concrete floor on 1st level and solid hickory on the stairs and 2nd level bedroom. An abundance of natural light from the many windows and skylights. The design is centered around the well equipped kitchen with a high ceiling, purple appliances, unique marble counter top and other high end finishes. The space Flagstaff is well known destination for the many outdoor opportunities for hiking and biking right out the door of the cottage, or an easy drive from this central downtown location. It’s a one hour drive to the Grand Canyon and Sedona. All of Flagstaff’s amenities are easily accessible from this quiet yet convenient location. Guest access Off street parking and off the back alley in it’s own dedicated space is a separate entrance including another entrance from the street. The house has a shared backyard and is fenced for seclusion. There's a porch with comfy chairs for two and BBQ next to the old apple tree. This is mostly secluded and facing the private street access. Other things to note The property has three individual homes on it. The entire property is fenced and shared. There are sections of fence between the homes specifically designed for privacy. For an additional fee, we allow well behaved dogs. Please be respectful of the other guests by keeping dogs out of the other yards and only use the yard areas next to the house you are renting. Thank you for your consideration.  Northern Arizona gets snow. Flagstaff is at 7,000ft above sea level and averages almost 100” of snow per year. Snow typically starts in late November and can last as late as June. The snowiest months are December through March and the snow amounts can vary greatly from year to year. If you choose to travel in Northern Arizona during the winter months you should be prepared to drive in the snow. Look ahead at the weather forecast as your trip gets closer and plan ahead. The website Az511 is a great resource for road conditions in Arizona. A vehicle with AWD is recommended. If you don’t have AWD, have tire chains with you and know how to use them. Keep extra food, water and blankets in the car in case you are stuck somewhere for an extended period of time. We will shovel the driveway and front walk to the door of the home once a storm has finished. Be prepared to shovel yourself if needed. Most online travel agencies (like Airbnb) offer travel insurance at a reasonable price. If you are making a reservation during the winter months you may want to consider purchasing the insurance in case the winter weather prevents you from getting to the home.
