Little Backyard Cottage

Live like a local in Arbor Lodge. Charming backyard cottage. 400 sq ft of Mid century modern flair filled with natural light. Only two short blocks to Max yellow line, restaurants and New Seasons grocery. Minutes to downtown. The space The little cottage was a dream of my Mom's. She wanted a place to stay when she came to visit. She helped design the backyard retreat with her love of Mid Century flair and lots of light. Guests will definitely recognize her passion for retro decor. The cottage is full of amenities found in a larger place. The space was designed so everything is on one level yet does not feel cramped despite its size. It is not necessary to climb a single step to access the cottage from the street. Since my Dad and I have had careers in manufacturing, we found it really important for the cottage to be filled with as much furniture and goods (new and vintage) as possible that were crafted and made in the USA. The sleeper loveseat was actually manufactured in the Portland area. The platform bed was crafted in Vermont. Many of the kitchen items including the dishes were made in the USA. Guest access The little cottage is all yours during your stay. We share a backyard and a lovely giant Pine. Other things to note We do not allow smoking of ANY kind inside the cottage or on the premises. Unfortunately the cottage is not child friendly. In order to keep the cottage friendly to everyone (including those with allergies) we cannot accommodate pets of any kind - this rule extends to family or friends coming over to visit (their pets are also not allowed anywhere on the premise including in the yard). There is a resident senior Great Pyrenees mix named Aspen who you may occasionally see in the backyard. He is a shy, gentle giant and may need time to be comfortable enough to approach you.
