If you want a fantastic holiday, comfortable accommodation, and safe location close to Thamel, our B&B is the spot for you. Nestled off the main road, a beautiful small garden where we grow our own herbs and greens. Best of all, your stay makes a path for positive change an the lives of orphans in Nepal. The bed and breakfast is ideally located near the tourist district of Thamel but removed from the crowds and constant traffic of that area - just a 20 minute walk or short taxi ride away. You will definitely appreciate the peace in Lazimpat after a day of sightseeing in Kathmandu. CMC – Uncle Pepe House - 201 is pleasantly situated on the second floor in main private home with a peaceful garden area. The room is spacious, bright, and spotlessly clean with two single beds and a desk with chair. The bathroom is shared between 2 rooms and has hot showers and a western toilet. Towels are provided along with basic toiletries and mineral water. Each morning, enjoy a wonderful breakfast made fresh to order. We offer bakery classes, tours in this house and lunch, dinner, cooking classes in our main branch within a 5 minutes’ walk. Feel free to relax over a great cup of coffee or glass of wine or take our 1 day Nepali cooking class for $35. If you are wanting more adventure, we can organize a 1 day guided cycling tour in the city or surrounding Kathmandu Valley. If you are looking to go trekking, we can help arrange a tour for you as an individual or a group. We are here to make your stay in Nepal the best it can be and look forward to hosting you. I can help answer any questions you have about Nepal. I can also help you with organizing customized tours or treks. I’m around everyday so just drop in and say “Hi”. If I am not available then there will be our Branch Manager, Ms. Rosi who will help you in anything you need. Other things to note Perhaps the most important part of our story and why Cocina Mitho Chha (CMC) exists is our commitment to sustainable social development in Nepal. CMC is a sustainable social enterprise, providing education and career opportunities to under serviced groups in and around Kathmandu. In Nepal, orphanages require young people to leave once they have finished their education at the age of 16. With no family support this can be a hazardous time. We work to help these young people on their way to a brighter future through vocational training. We invest the profits from our restaurant and B&B into our training programs. We have been able to provide students full scholarships and partial scholarships, making it possible for students to gain valuable skills and experience, long term employment opportunities, and an independent lifestyle.
