Private studio on the ground floor of a charming house in North Oakland. It has all the basic necessities plus a few upgrades- backyard hammocks & a 70" TV. We are centrally located between Temescal & Rockridge, Berkeley, & Emeryville. Great restaurants & shops nearby, easy access to UC Berkeley, downtown Oakland & SF. A 15-20min walk to MacArthur BART, 5min to the freeway. Easy, safe parking on our block. I'm a Bay Area native who loves sharing my hometown with people from near & far. The space The room has it's own entrance from the backyard. It's large and welcoming with a full-size bed, a mini-kitchen, and a living room. The kitchen area is stocked with a table for two, small fridge, microwave, keurig coffee maker with pods, and both ceramic and disposable plates, cups, utensils, etc. The living area has a comfy sectional couch and a huge TV with Hulu, Disney+, HBO Max, and basic channels. The private half bath is just outside the room. It does not have a shower, but guests can come upstairs anytime to use the shower. Fresh towels and a bathroom caddy with the basics are provided at check-in. Please feel free to take advantage of our wonderful backyard, including the hammocks, gas grill, and fire pit. If you come in the summer, you can enjoy all the fresh tomatoes you can pick and eat! Guest access Guests have exclusive access to the studio. They have full, but shared, use of the backyard. We do use it, especially in the summer. The only space that is open on the top floor of the house is the master bathroom for showering. But there's only two of us, and we do have a second shower, so the main one is almost always available. During your stay The studio is designed to give guests privacy. That said, we are both friendly people, and are happy to share ideas of things to do during your stay. And of course, we're immediately responsive to any issues.
