Located just 4 kms from the main street and river precinct of Wangaratta, this one-of-a-kind Farmhouse is located on 5 acres and offers sweeping river redgum views, beautiful sunsets and amazing starlit skies. The Glen offers the perfect getaway location to unwind and relax; is well equipped with everything you need for a relaxing and tranquil getaway. Ideal for families, couples or singles wishing to 'get away' for a short or longer term stay. The space Take a walk around our property or enjoy a peaceful picnic and soak up the serenity! Whether it's stargazing around the fire pit by night, or enjoying the private sandbank of the Ovens River for a swim or even try your luck at catching some fish during the day, the options are endless no matter the weather. Boasting a variety of wildlife and native gums, you will enjoy exploring the property and beyond. Nestled perfectly between the surrounding wine region and snow fields, including Beechworth, Bright, the King Valley and Rutherglen, a weekend of exploring the great north east will be a breeze. The Glen consists of three bedrooms, two of which contain queen size beds & the third comprising two king singles. Two living areas perfect for connecting with one another as well as an office space for those on business trips. Keep the kids or yourself entertained with use of our Free unlimited wi-fi, a smart TV, books/magazines, toys, games & puzzles. For families with young children we have a highchair and porta cot available for use. Heating and cooling throughout the house as well as an indoor fireplace will keep you warm & cosy in cold weather while air-conditioning keeps you cool in the warmer months. The kitchen is equipped with new appliances, a dishwasher, microwave & coffee pod machine. There is a separate laundry with a washing machine & dryer; & two bathrooms. Guest access Guests can access the whole house, fire pit, gardens, river flats and river. Please note that bedroom access and bed use is determined by booked guest numbers and is to be agreed upon prior to check-in. Other things to note Something extra.... Complementary bottle of wine on check in as well as a light breakfast offerings including fresh bread, free range eggs, milk, butter & condiments. Pantry staples, coffee, tea & milo are also available. Linen, towels & tea-towels are provided as well as shampoo, conditioner, soap, dishwashing & laundry detergents. Pets... Whilst we welcome pets (dogs, unfortunately no cats) at The Glen, we do like to understand the breed, age, living / sleep situation etc, as we have been faced with some interesting situations in the past. In the event dogs enter the house, we ask that dogs refrain from climbing bedding and furniture, that all shedded hair is removed with our vacuum prior to departure and that all toileting is done outside (and disposed of). If you intend to bring along your four legged friend, could you please provide some further information and ensure the pet is reflected in the booking? Bins If your stay falls on a Sunday night, we will contact you regarding gaining access to the bins. The bins require drop off via trailer on a Sunday evening for Tuesday morning collection.
