Description
Conveniently located just minutes off the beautiful South West Coast Path. Watcombe beach is a 5 minute (steep) walk, St Marychurch and Babbacombe are nearby. Torquay Harbour is less than 3 miles. A perfect base to explore all the delights the English Riviera has to offer. There's a bus stop nearby which run regular services to Torquay, Teignmouth and beyond. Hillside is a one bedroom detached annexe, designed specifically for guests comfort in mind. Off road private parking is directly outside. The space Perfectly suited for visiting couples, overseas & solo adventurers, business travellers, professionals, mature students & for those visiting friends, family and local events. We've also hosted several newlywed Brides & Grooms ! Hillside is a sympathetically converted detached studio annexe. A compact but very comfortable detached former double garage workshop, offering total privacy, with convenient hassle free self check in and out. It is finished to a high standard, offering flexible accommodation for a maximum of 2 adults. Access is through a wooden front gate labelled Hillside, leading to the private side entrance with a wall mounted key access lock box. It has a contemporary style feel about it comprising an open plan ground floor living area with vinyl flooring, one pvcu opening window with curtains, an integral kitchenette with complimentary coffee, tea, biscuits & chocolate making facilities, a breakfast bar with two bar stools, kitchen wall & base units, a 15 Ltr mini fridge, (with some fresh semi-skinned milk inside upon your arrival) a microwave oven, kettle, toaster, glasses, cups & mugs, bread board, cutlery, crockery and tea towels etc. Please be aware though, there is no cooker, hob or oven and as such, is only suitable for the preparation of light meals, takeaway foods and re-heating snacks. A hair dryer is supplied as well as an iron and ironing board. The living area is furnished with a two seater sofa, a relaxing armchair and a wall mounted digital Free view television. WI-FI is free throughout. There is a wall mounted electric thermostatic radiator. Adjacent to the stairwell is the locking shower room with integral toilet and a wall mounted hand sanitizer dispenser. Due to size constraints there is only one wash basin located in the kitchenette. Above the wash basin is a retractable shaving mirror with stainless shelf. Freshly laundered hand and bath towels together with tea towels are supplied throughout. The cosy bedroom is located upstairs in the apex of the roof space, comprising a kingsize bed with headboard measuring (150cm x 200cm) two bedside cabinets, lamps, drawer storage, DAB radio, clothes hangers and integral led roof lighting. There is a fixed UPVC window to the front aspect with opaque privacy screen film and fixed vertical black out blinds. The opaque screen film and black out window blinds are to ensure your ultimate privacy from outside. To the rear, at the top of the stairs is an opening UPVC escape window with affixed black out roller blind. There is a 2 Kilowatt thermostatic electric blow heater and a floor standing electric blow heater / cooling fan for use during the relative seasons as and when required. The maximum eaves height upstairs in the bedroom is 2.1 meters. There is slightly more than 38 square meters of space overall. Directly outside is a small seating area with a table and two chairs, an outside waste bin and a recycling container . We do not allow any outside barbecues, stoves, fires or naked flames of any description. Replacement freshly laundered towels for those staying longer than two nights are provided free upon request, please do not hesitate to call or message us regarding any aspect of your stay. For complete flexibility of your arrival and departure time, there is a combination key safe box fixed on the outside wall next to the annexe entrance door. Following your booking confirmation, a welcome message, together with the latest key safe access code will be sent to you together with the a mobile contact number. Other things to note No smoking, No parties or events, Not suitable for children, dogs or pets. No naked flames or candles We do not accept any bookings from groups or parts of groups such as stags, hen parties, young farmers etc and will therefore treat any such booking as a breach of booking terms. So that all our guests can enjoy their stay, we politely request visitors to remove walking boots, muddy shoes etc when in the annexe, slippers or soft soled shoes are of course fine. Not suitable for wheelchair users as there are steps and stairs leading up to the bedroom apex.
