Situated on a 9-acre wooded property in East Tennessee is an escape that allows you to reset your senses and experience nature without sacrificing basic amenities. Our off grid accommodation features a queen size bed fitted with fresh linens and blankets under a 360 degree stargazer ceiling. Enjoy evenings under the solar lights on the deck or by the campfire. Wake up to coffee with a view! The space THE TENT Our Glamping tent is made of the highest quality material, well insulated for warmth in the winter, and have large windows for the cooling summer breeze. Designed for comfort and luxury, reset your senses with a relaxing shower, toast marshmallows on an open campfire, or simply sit on the deck with a good book and heavenly glass of wine while the sun sets. OFF-GRID CONSIDERATIONS Bring a cooler for keeping items cold. There is a Dollar General on 131 and on the other side of Clinch Mountain for getting ice. For showering, we have an on-demand tankless propane shower hooked up to a 275-gallon water supply tank. And for when duty calls, we utilize a camp toilet that utilizes wag bags with special powder designed by nasa for their space program. The powder gelatinizes liquids and also helps eliminate odors. After usage, simply tie off the bag, toss it in the trash and replace the toilet with a new one. Landfill safe. We provide firewood, kindling, and a lighter which are located in the tent. There is a small campfire grate for cooking on. Also, while we do try to minimize bug life with area pest control treatments, we recommend you keep tent screens closed as much as possible and bring bug spray for added comfort and protection. Guest access There is one other tent on our property about 200 feet a part at the lower end of our property. It is still a pretty secluded setting. In addition, we as camp hosts will be living on site as early as October 1st 2021 So if you need anything, we will be readily available. Other things to note Our property features two canvas tents, each are about 300 feet a part that still allow for a private getaway experience. A shared parking lot for both tents is located at the upper section of our property in front of tent #1 on the right. Check in window is between 3pm-12am. Do not arrive early as your tent will not be ready until 3pm. If you must check-in sooner, please make a request as soon as you can and we will do our best to accommodate you. Check out time is 11am. Parking is limited to one vehicle per tent. If you must bring more then one, please make arrangements with us prior to your arrival. THERE IS NO WIFI // LIMITED CELL PHONE RECEPTION However, we do have limited cell reception for Verizon and Sprint phone carriers. If you have any other cell service, you can get enough signal by walking up the hill 5 minutes past our property line. COOKING Please clean up any spills, especially sugary drinks, promptly. These can create a mold issue that is incredibly difficult to eradicate. It may also invite unwanted critters into the tent. This experience puts you up close and personal with nature. There are all kinds of critters that you may encounter, big and tiny, 2 Legged, 4 Legged, 8 Legged, Centi Legged. It’s bear country, coyote country, bird country, insect country, etc..... its all part of the experience. Inside the tents are 99% bug free, but even the cleanest of homes still have crawlers and fliers. THINGS TO BRING Flashlights, a lantern or two, a cooler, plates and utensils, drinking/cooking water.
