Description
The property is a beautiful maisonette at Station House, an iconic grade 2 listed former railway station built in 1841 .The history of the building can still clearly be seen; indeed your accommodation is in the old waiting rooms overlooking the station platform. Tours of the rest of the site may be available on request, including the old goods shed. Guests have access to the public footpath/cycle way adjacent to the property along the old railway line. The space The accommodation on two floors comprises a sitting room and bathroom on the ground floor (with covered outdoor eating area) and first floor master bedroom. One dog is allowed at £5.00 per night but please ask if you have two little ones. Please don’t let them up on the furniture or leave on their own. I do have a crate if necessary, dog bed and dog towel. I leave a water bowl in for you. Please don’t leave them on their own. The sitting room includes a smart TV (with Netflix) and BluRay DVD (small selection of DVDs available), breakfast table with 2 chairs, 2 seater sofa, small fridge with freezer compartment, kettle, coffee machine (Nespresso) and toaster. Basics are provided including coffee pods - regular and decaff; teabags (regular, decaff, herbal) and fresh milk in the fridge. A cot and highchair is available on request. I can provide a basic breakfast (pain au chocolate, croissants, toast, butter, jams and juice) £5.00 per person on request. There is a shower room with separate WC downstairs. Towels, robes and a hot water bottle provided. Basic toiletries including Shampoo, Bodywash, Handwash, Hand sanitiser and loo roll are provided. Upstairs is a king sized bed with high quality linen, seating area and double wardrobe and drawers. An additional single folding bed and bedding is available on request. This is an extra £15.00. When arriving, please drive through the metal gates and turn directly right and park in front of the beech hedge by the arch. Walk onto the platform and station cottage is halfway down. Guest access The accommodation has its own private entrance. When making your way to the cottage, the flag stones under the arch can be slippery. Tours of the gardens and station buildings available on request. Other things to note Dogs are not to be left on their own. Please ask if you have more than 1 dog
