Burgos and the surrounding area, has always been well known for being the “red light” entertainment district of Makati. It is an extremely safe neighborhood which is great for walking around. There are a number of locals that tend to gather around at street level occasionaly inquiring whether one wants a massage or what not but again they are harmless and won’t bother much. There are plenty of foreign and Philippine tourists that come and stay in the neighbothood to enjoy this very charachter and vibe. It is a fun place to venture around and discover great little Asian Restaurants and it is fairly inexpensive to eat and drink as well. The local Korean food is a must!
