Our house is located in Gustui, the upper area of Cala Gonone, right on the cliff that reaches the beach, a short walk from the port and the other beaches of the town. The fortunate location guarantees quiet and silence even in the busiest months, except for the birds, cicadas and the sound of the waves just a few meters from the windows... The space ...it was built by my grandfather, among the rocks, facing the sea, in the most exposed part of our garden, separate from the main house where we live. It is surrounded by the greenery of the trees and plants that my grandmother has been tending for years, and by the blue of the sea that stretches across the entire horizon from Capo di Monte Santo to Punta Nera, the farthest points of the Gulf of Orosei. Before me, my parents looked after the house and furnished it with items and ideas they brought back from their travels around the world; then it was my turn. I've built a terrace for the exclusive use of my guests, which is the most special part of the house. Here, overlooking the sea, you can take a shower, sunbathe on the loungers, read a book in complete tranquillity, and enjoy the magical sunrises that, every morning, paint the sky and the sea before you. When it comes to the furnishings and fittings, I personally opted for simplicity, staying true to the philosophy of the house and my concept of travel. This is what I consider a good balance between functionality and aesthetics. I hope you will enjoy both and share them during your stay. I recently renovated the bathroom, making it more spacious. I've added an indoor shower, which is very convenient for the cooler months. The kitchen is very basic, consisting of a three-burner camping stove and an electric kettle for hot water, but it has everything you need for cooking. There is no TV, as in the rest of our house, a choice in line with my way of understanding holidays and what is important to ensure a relaxing atmosphere, whether for a good book or the intimacy of an evening meal. Guest access Finding parking nearby won't be a problem even in the busiest months. To get to the apartment, you'll have to cross the garden of my house until you reach the stairs that will take you to the front door. Other things to note As the house is surrounded by greenery, it can happen, especially in the summer, that insects enter the property; however, these insects are kept at bay by a mosquito net over the bed, which hangs from the ceiling.
