Description
Kington is a small market town in Herefordshire, on the Welsh Border. Our cottage is in a quiet, secluded spot in the town whose amenities include food stores, cafes, takeaways and pubs. Offa’s Dyke Path passes within about 300m of our door. Parking is in a free car park 100m from our house. I am happy to collect you and your luggage to bring you up to the house. If you have an EV please contact us prior to booking to discuss the charging options. Secure motorbike/bike parking outside our house The space The accommodation is on the lower ground floor with a large en-suite including separate bath and shower. Our garden is a small wildlife paradise which you are welcome to explore or sit in, or weed. Plenty of great walks right from our doorstep, some high up and others more low lying, and we are within about an hour’s drive from the famous and rugged Brecon Beacons. I can suggest local walks. Chris is a keen angler and would be pleased to give advice about local fishing. This is a quiet rural spot and we’re sure you’ll enjoy the peace and quiet and leisurely way of life. Guest access Breakfast is home made bread and muesli, Weetabix, apple juice, tea/coffee. We normally serve breakfast between 7.30 and 9 am but can accommodate earlier birds!. There is a fridge in the room for your sole use. We provide fresh milk for use with the tea/coffee-making facilities in the room. We can provide oat milk as a dairy alternative. If you are gluten intolerant, please let us know beforehand. You can use our microwave to heat up food you bring with you. We’d ask that you eat hot food in the dining room rather than in the bedroom. During your stay We will usually be in the house during your stay and are happy to help you with any queries. We can do laundry and store bikes (up to about 2) under cover. You can charge your e-bike. Motorcyclists welcome. You can bring your bikes up to our house which is in a very secluded and safe location. We can allow charging of smaller electric cars: £1 per hour using our normal domestic supply. Please let us know when booking if you’re likely to need this because access by motor vehicle to our house is restricted due to a narrow opening and steep ramp. Other things to note One of our guests remarked that our address is inaccurate. It’s true that the postcode alone will lead you astray but if you read the Directions section you will be fine!
