The space There is one large bedroom with simple lines, a comfy bed and one small en-suite bathroom. The bed's headboard is embellished with locally handcrafted majolica tiles on a pastel background that help you unwind. The large and well-equipped kitchen allows you to prepare home-cooked meals. Here you have a kettle, microwave and moka for making the traditional Italian moka! The studio room has a soft sofa, chaise-longue, table and antique desk. What better place to find your time? Surrounded by quiet and greenery, you can work remotely, watch your favorite Netflix series or just color mandalas. Finally, you can swing on the swing or do yoga on the mats at your disposal! Outside, there is a terrace with a splendid view of the evergreen Carob forest, where you can sunbathe or dine al fresco surrounded by fairy lights! Here you have a sun umbrella, a coffee table with two chairs and a romantic chic bench. This is the place to relax with your sweetheart while listening to the crickets chirping in the summer and the bells of the cows grazing in the nearby fields. The house has a free internet connection, air conditioning, Yankee-scented candles, a beach umbrella, and private parking in front of the door. Guest access Far from the hustle and bustle of the city, the cottage has a strategic position: it is just 10 minutes by car (5 km) from the town of Cassibile and the highway access. Syracuse, Avola and Noto are less than 30 minutes away. Catania airport, where you can rent a car, is just 1 hour from the house. In 15 minutes, you can reach the crystalline waters and sandy beaches of Fontane Bianche, Oasi del Gelsomineto and Arenella. Here you can find parking, equipped beaches but also free beaches. The entrance for Cavagrande Natural Reserve ("Mastra Ronna" path) is also 15 minutes by car along the SP73 to your left. There is public parking there but unless you have a 4x4 it is not advisable to drive up because the path is rocky. We suggest leaving the car on the main road and go walking. The countryside road (SP73) is also perfect for running and biking. Other things to note A car is required to reach the cottage as it is located in the countryside. Guests can enjoy long walks along the 15 hectares of Mediterranean scrub forest (olive, almond and carob trees) included in the property. There is a countryside road ideal for running and exercise. Upon request, you can join nature excursions with a local guide who speaks Italian, English, and French to visit: • Cavagrande del Cassibile Nature Reserve with the possibility of river trekking! • Wildlife Oasis of Vendicari • Noto Antica and Cava Carosello • Plemmirio Marine Park • Pantalica and Anapo Valley Nature Reserve. You can cook with our extra virgin olive oil and almonds produced on our farm. Also depending on the season, it is possible to freely pick up local fruit and wild vegetables (asparagus in March, mulberries and lemons in May, almonds and carobs in August and September).
