St.Ives has something for everyone all year with buses and trains giving access to the rest of Cornwall The space The Blue Lugger was formally the popular and colourful Hobblers restaurant and has been newly converted into modern stylish accommodation that retains its original character and charm . Both top floor bedrooms have sloping ceilings but benefit from sliding French doors and Juliet balconies. The sitting room gives unrivalled views across the harbour and St.Ives bay . The view is always beautiful and constantly changing whatever the weather or time of year . There is under floor heating throughout the apartment and double glazing. The wide bay window is a perfect position to people watch, look for seals and dolphins or watch the lifeboat go out. The artists of St.Ives exhibit in many art and craft galleries including the newly extended Tate St.Ives with frequently changing exhibitions. St.Ives September festival extends the summer with bands, live shows, poetry and open artist studios all over town. The St.Ives food festival is perfect for foodies and The Shanty weekend is an annual event enjoyed by many. The Blue Lugger is perfectly situated for all activities including the famous St.Ives New Years Eve fancy dress party and fireworks which all take place along the harbour front. The seven beaches of St.Ives are all just a few minutes walk away and the coast path is close by for dog walking. St.Ives bus station and British Rail station are a few minutes walk away. Guest access The accommodation is situated up a flight of 12 granite steps on the front of the building directly on Wharf road between Yallah Coffee and a restaurant. There is a key safe to gain entry to the apartment. There are stairs up to the open plan sitting room and kitchen. Another flight of stairs leads to both bedrooms and the shower room. Other things to note The under floor heating is adjustable by using the thermostats. One in the sitting room by the door, the other is at the top of the stairs up to the bedrooms. Heated towel rail in the bathroom (switch on wall in hall). There are extra pillows in the bedrooms if needed, and throws for the beds. A thick double blanket is at the bottom of the wardrobe in the main bedroom. Fans are available in the summer months. The apartment is between bars and restaurants which can mean excessive noise occasionally especially during holidays. Ear plugs are supplied and the windows are all double glazed.
