Throughout the year and in all seasons, many activities make it possible to diversify your outings: among others, the Gastronomy Festival and the Book Fair in autumn; the Christmas Markets known even beyond the borders in winter; the Easter Markets in spring, the Jazz Festival and the unmissable Wine Fairs in summer. Museum visits, such as Unterlinden, Bartholdi or the Toy Museum, also provide pleasant cultural moments. Tourist villages such as Kaysersberg, Riquewihr and Eguisheim (the latter referenced as the most beautiful village in France) among others, located less than 10 minutes' drive from Colmar, perfectly testify to the typical Alsatian charm. The Vauban fortifications of Neuf-Brisach, the many castles including that of Haut-Kœnigsbourg, are also to be visited.
