A cosy stand-alone chalet in the Swiss alps at 10 min drive from Vevey/Montreux and 1 1/4 h drive from Geneva airport. Its located right next to the ski slopes in Les Paccots ski resort. You can leave and join the chalet with the skis. Les Paccots ski resort is very know for kids and beginners to learn how to ski. Ski school is 5 min walking distance from the chalet. The space Les Paccots is right in the heart of the world famous Gruyere cheese region. In the summer as well as in the winter you can do some great walks and enjoy the swiss cheese fondue in various mountain cottage restaurants. In the surroundings, you can do various outdoor activities such as kicking, biking, via ferrata, horse riding or some more cultural activities such visit the Nestle chocolate factory, visit the Gruyere cheese factory or just relaxing in a thermal bath. The place is very quiet and relaxing! Ideal for a bigger family with kids or group of friends. This place is the birthplace of the swiss famous wool slipper brand Baabuk. Guest access You can access the chalet in the summer as well as in the winter by car. In the winter, winter tires are needed. A private road lead to the chalet. Closest shop is 2 min by car in the village center. There you find everything you need. The local Gruyere cheese is a must. During the peak season it's open in sunday's morning. Otherwise, 10 min by car in Chatel St-Denis you have a few big supermarkets. Two parking spots are on the top of the chalet. More parking sports are available 5 min walking distance. You need to use some stairs to join the chalet from the parking spot. The access to the chalet is from the 1st level. On the 1st level, you have the living room with an open kitchen, a dormitory and a toilet. A big outdoor terrace is just next to the living room. It’s a great place to have breakfast and enjoy the surrounding mountains. There are plenty of wool slippers at the entrance to take off your shoes and enjoy a relaxing moment ;). There is a mezzanine accessible from the 1st floor with plenty of toys to play. On the ground level, there are 2 additional dormitories, the bathroom and laundry room. Other facilities: - outside bbq (with carbon) - cheese fondue set - raclette set Other things to note If you like to use the fire place, you need to bring the wood by yourself. You can buy in Landi in Châtel St Denis. For the barbeque, the same. You bring your own charbon if you like to use it.
