Beautiful barn with amazing views in Broadhempston

Houndhead Barn is located in the heart of our delightful Devon village, Broadhempston, which is sandwiched between Dartmoor National Park and the beautiful South Devon coastline. The village is home to 2 pubs both offering great food and an award winning village shop with a wide range of local produce. The local town of Totnes is filled with shops, cafes and restaurants and has a national rail station. Broadhempston is near the A38 Devon Expressway putting Exeter and Plymouth within easy reach. The space The barn's heating and hot water is provided by an air source heat pump, and we have solar panels and a battery to help provide power to the barn. The second bedroom (downstairs) can be set up as either a single, a twin or a double (the double is made with a trundle bed so there is a slight gap between the two mattresses). We also have travel cots available on request, and blackout blinds are fitted to both bedrooms. Guest access The entire barn is available for guests, and it has a decking area to the rear with a garden table and chairs. We reserve the decking area and the furniture on the decking for guests use only. Guests are also most welcome to enjoy the garden, the garden is shared with the family. Other things to note The EV charger is a Type 2 tethered charger. Guests can use the charger for free between 11:30pm and 5:30am (the charger will only supply power between these times so you do not need to schedule a charge with your vehicle). Please let me know if you intend to use the charger during your stay so we can make sure our car is topped up before your arrival. If you would like to use the EV charger at any other time of day that is also fine, we just ask you to please cover the cost of the peak rate electricity you use (I would need a little notice to allow me to enable daytime charging on the device). The Hot Tub is available to hire from October until the end of March. If guests would like to use the Hot Tub during their stay the hot tub will be emptied, cleaned, refilled with fresh water and have the required chemicals added and some aromatherapy salts. Robes and extra towels will also be provided during your stay when guests have requested use of the hot tub. Please ensure that you let me know well in advance of your stay if you would like to use the Hot Tub during your visit as it can take up to 48 hours to empty, clean, refill with fresh water and then heat the water to the correct temperature.
