Located in the area of the historic Jacks Shop Civil War battle, close to Montpelier and many other historic homes and museums. Opportunities for hot air ballooning, skeet shooting, golf, polo, fox hunting, kayaking, hiking trails, riding lessons (at the farm) and of course the local music festival. Hunt for Civil War treasures. Lots of vineyards with tasting rooms nearby. Great antique shops just minutes away. The Shenandoah National Park is minutes away and the hiking trails are great, all the way up to the Skyline Drive if you have the energy! House sleeps 9. Washer, Dryer, dishwasher, 2 tvs, fire pit, hammocks etc! If you are coming from overseas you can fly into Dulles (Washington DC) or to CHO (Charlottesville Airport) which is only 15 minutes away. I love the opportunity to show you this beautiful part of the world. Additional note: Play in the clear waters of the Rapidan River, just 5 min from the house . Fire Pit and wood for the camp fire lovers. Croquet set, corn toss and other games. Guest access House, garden, fresh raspberries, figs, tomatoes, chestnuts, and whatever else is in the garden! Walk or play in the fields. Swimming in the Rapidan is just down the road . Fishing rods are at the house as well as two bicycles. Guests may use property on left side of driveway. All property behind the house and to the right of drive is private property and off limits. Hot tub is provided hot and with fresh water. Manufacturer states it heats at 1 degree every hour it is covered. I do not guarantee the hot tub as it depends on how long it is used, what the ambient temp is, and if it is covered properly. Other things to note Dogs may not be left alone in the house unless they are in the mud room or crated. They can also have a big stall if you are going to be out all day. Riding lessons are available.
