Despite the recent tourist development of the area, due to its proximity to the famous San Teodoro, Cala Brandinchi beach, and the islands of Tavolara and Molara, Vaccileddi still retains the characteristics of a pleasant village, with ancient agro-pastoral traditions. The town is divided between the coast of Porto Taverna and the hinterland of Padru, and is characterized by the presence of rural houses interspersed with beautiful holiday homes built in Sardinian rock, which all gather around the church of San Domenico Savio, now a parish house. The Coldiretti market is occasionally held in the hamlet, where you can find fresh fruits and vegetables. The market, and the supermarkets in the area, are the first stop for tourists heading to the most beautiful beaches in the area, namely the aforementioned Cala Brandinchi (known as "little Haiti "), the beach of Capo Coda Cavallo, the beach of Porto Taverna, Lu Impostu, the beach of Puntaldia, the beach of Cala Girgolu and the long beach of La Cinta, in San Teodoro. From Porto San Paolo, only 4 kilometers away from Vaccileddi, ferries depart towards the islands: an experience not to be missed to get to know some of the most beautiful coves in Sardinia.
