Description
Arch Cottage is conveniently situated in the centre of beautiful Chagford, a unique & ancient stannary town in the foothills of Dartmoor. The cottage is tucked within the arch behind double gates in the enclosed flowery courtyard of Arch House. There is a table & chairs underneath the cascading wisteria, for al fresco breakfasts. Books, pictures & ancient Persian rugs, comfortable beds, & cosy sofas. . Parking for 1 car. We welcome one well behaved dog for which there is a charge . The space The living area is an open plan sitting /kitchen room. The emphasis is on comfort and homeliness with books and pictures and old Persian rugs. There is central heating and also an electric log effect stove . We welcome children and the cottage is well equipped with cot, stair gate and high chair. We have friendly animals including two dogs, a very friendly cat and a chatty parrot , who all love making new friends . Guest access Parking is outside the cottage in the shared courtyard Other things to note We are one of the few cottages in town which allow a dog - £5 charge per night. We ask that dogs be kept on leads in the courtyard as we have a very friendly cat and there is the odd chicken sometimes wandering about. The courtyard is enclosed and the gates are always kept shut but obviously are opened for access to the road.
