The Barley House - B&B by the sea!

Settle into a cosy armchair, with this incredible view, and you'll instantly feel yourself wind down. Situated just ten minutes from the Isle of Skye, we are near to the village of Plockton - the jewel of the Highlands. A delicious homemade breakfast is served each day. Sorry - NO COOKING - this is B&B. The space Our detached, contemporary house is set just a few metres from the sea, in a tiny hamlet called Port an Eorna and it is only three miles from Kyle of Lochalsh, which is where you cross over the bridge to the Isle of Skye, so it is an ideal base for exploring Skye and the other lovely villages in this area such as Torridon and Applecross. We have one private bedroom (standard double bed) with your own private bathroom right next door but the big attraction is that you get sole use of our incredible lounge. All of our previous guests have said they hardly want to leave after enjoying our amazing view. Breakfast is served in the kitchen overlooking the sea and includes fresh baked bread, pastries, eggs from our chickens and home made granola. If you want to go for a short walk the NTS Coast Path passes right beside the house where you can do a 45 minute loop of Port an Eorna, Drumbuie and Duirinish - traditional crofting villages. From the east side of the house you look towards Plockton/Kishorn/Torridon hills and from the other side, you look to the Isle of Skye/Raasay/Applecross peninsula. The sea is just a few metres in every direction. Guest access Bedroom, private bathroom, lounge with spectacular views. Sorry, no cooking is allowed. Bed and breakfast only. During your stay We live in the house so we'll be around but out of the way or out in the garden/croft. You'll get lots of privacy. Other things to note We have two small rescue pups - Casper and Ben. Casper was a street dog and is very nervous and barks when new people arrive. They are both super cute though and will play with you and like cuddles.
