studio apartment, Ullinish, Struan, Skye
Description
Ullinish is close to Struan village which has a post office, shop and cafe. We are within walking distance of the coast. You’ll love our place because of the location, the ambiance, the outdoors space, and the PEACE and QUIET. The space is good for couples, solo adventurers, and business travellers. Babies and toddlers in travel cots are welcome. We can provide a travel cot and baby bath, or you can bring your own. There is ample parking and space for equipment such as bikes and kayaks. The space Guest can now enjoy south facing French windows, allowing you to step straight out into nature, or simply just relax in the king sized bed, with the sound of nature and the fresh air flowing which Skye is renowned for. Our space offers you the freedom to enjoy your stay on Skye at your own pace and your own convenience, with the comfort of a hotel. Being self contained you can come and go as you please without being disturbed . The kitchen has recently been upgraded to offer better facilities such as a marble worktops and breakfast bar, Neff oven, Smeg hob and extractor fan for those who like to cook more complicated meals. We have decided to no longer provide a breakfast pack due to difficulties in obtaining fresh supplies as a result of the covid pandemic. We will still be offering basics such as tea bags, coffee, sugar and cooking oil. There is a full sized fridge with freezer compartment for your use. The best place to stock up locally before you arrive is the co-op in Broadford. You will pass this enroute, otherwise you will need to go to Dunvegan convenience store or Portree for supplies. Dining out options can be limited for restaurants in the current Covid pandemic. If you like to dine out please check with your chosen establishment regarding availability. Guest access You are free to use the garden and have BBQ's within the seating area at the front of the apartment. We have planted numerous trees in the garden and an orchard. You are free to wander and to sample the herbs and fruit which we grow. Other things to note Skye is remote and the scenery on route will blow you away. As such your journey may be longer than you anticipated. You can arrive anytime after 1600hrs, so do not need to rush and miss those perfect photo opportunities. If using sat nav Please be mindful if you are directed to the Mallaig ferry. This is a great route, but has limited operating hours, so please check the ferry times. You can get to Skye via the bridge. Fort William is the town where you will need to decide if you are travelling on the ferry or taking the bridge. Whilst sat nav brings you to the area, occasionally people struggle to pinpoint our exact location. I have now added details of the what3words location and this information can be found in the photos section with a screen shot from the site.
